Well I have personally played the Closed Alpha, and while it was not perfect, for an alpha version, it seemed like they were on the right track to making an amazing game. I can't disclose information about it per the NDA, but it is most definitely NOT a Battlefield re-skin. One of the developers in the Alpha forums said, "We are trying to appeal to two audiences - Battlefield fans and Battlefront fans. People from Battlefield want to see more Battlefield aspects, while people from Battlefront want to see more Battlefront aspects. I think we have done a good job walking the fine line between these two audiences." While I don't agree that that is where the game is at currently, I believe it is on the right track, especially if they listen to the feedback they receive from the Alpha. I suppose we won't know for sure until the Close/Open Beta arrive. But believe me, those who are being obstinate about not playing because the game was made by EA, you're the ones missing out. DICE has made it very clear that they do not want to screw this up and are really trying hard to please people. You should complain more about those giving feedback ASKING for more Battlefield aspects - the more of them DICE hears from, the more they will swing the game that way. So if you don't want a Battlefield reskin, voice your own feedback challenging those asking for it. Don't blame DICE for listening to what the majority of the crowd wants. As for EA, yes they are increasingly greedy and corrupt, but DICE is doing their best to work with them.
Those are my 2 cents. Take it how you will.
