Apologies for being a little late on this guys, my excuse was that I was out of the country and just got back on Thursday. No prizes for guessing where we visited...

Anyway, thanks to Dr.Compton for getting us started in my absence.

If you're interested to join but didn't participate last year, just sign up on this thread and I'll keep the interest list in this post updated. The 2014 owners will have priority (followed by those on the waiting/interest list carried over from last year, followed by those who register their interest in THIS thread, on a first-come, first-serve basis), but every year we have some drop outs, so there will probably be room for some new managers. Once 2359hrs (EST) on Friday July 31, 2015 passes, names on the waiting list will be offered teams based on how many are available at that time.

If you're new to fantasy football don't fret. There's a little bit of an initial learning curve, but once you get the hang of things it's plain sailing. I mean if Dr.Compton actually finished 3rd last year, how hard can it be, right?

Good to see you around Skippy, would have been a mess if we left this to Compton! Good luck everyone for this year, I'm as buzzed as ever!

And since I've seen the raiders play irl now, I can't wait to avoid all of their players. I've even got myself a Detroit Lions cap too, NFL is part of my life.

saw bay area a couple of weeks ago, had a steam chat with hardware about 3 weeks ago, and the other 2 are off the grid, as far as I can tell
 
Time for an update, folks.

1) Teams for 2015
Great news! I will be able to add all the teams who were on the interest/wait list to the league for 2015. If you are one of the new teams this year, I will need you to either PM or email me ([email protected]) your email address so I can invite you to the Yahoo league.

We might still have some room in the league (max for this year is 32 teams), so spread the word if you know anyone else who might be interested in joining.

The top 8 teams from last year have been seeded and split across Alpha and Bravo leagues, but all other teams will have to roll their dice to determine league and divisional assignments (see #3 below).


2) Draft date and time
The draft date and time for BOTH Alpha and Bravo leagues has been scheduled for Sun Aug 30 11:00am PDT. Please be sure to mark your calendars. Hopefully most of you can participate real-time (we will also be assembling in TS during the draft), but even if you are unable to, you can always pre-rank your draft choices within Yahoo.


3) Dice rolls
Let's start rolling the dice to randomly determine our draft positions and league+division placements. I will also email the following dice roll instructions to each team.

We'll use this site for our dice rolls -- http://www.cyrnus.com/cgi-bin/rollem.cgi

When you have the page up you need to change/input some parameters:

2) 100 sides on each die.
3) Nothing (0) to be added or subtracted, no dropping of the high or low rolls, and no rerolling of ones.
4) The entire roll can only be repeated 1 time.

IMPORTANT notes about your dice rolls:
- The SUM of the 3 numbers will be used to decide draft positions. The highest number will get 1st pick and so on...
- The first of the three numbers will also be used as a tie breaker (higher wins), if necessary.
- The 2nd number will decide which league (i.e. Alpha or Bravo) you are in. The highest number will be placed in Alpha, the next highest in Bravo, the third highest in Alpha, the fourth highest in Bravo, and so on and so forth.
- The 3rd number will decide what division you are in. The highest number will be placed in the first division in its respective league, the next highest in the second division, and so on and so forth.
-The 1st number will also be used as a tie breaker for league and divisional placement. Again, higher numbers will trump lower numbers.
- Dice rolls that do not have the correct parameters will be considered invalid, and you will have to re-roll.
- If I don't receive your dice roll results email directly from the dice roll site, you will have to re-roll. Absolutely no ifs/buts, copy+pastes or forwarded emails will not be accepted.
- I will update my original post with dice rolls as I begin receiving them.
- I will be emailing my own roll results to Dangle (for verification/validation purposes).
- I trust we all have the integrity not to submit a false roll for another team.
- [NEW for 2015] All dice rolls must be submitted by Sun Aug 16 11:00am PDT. Unlike previous years I will not roll for you if you have not submitted your roll; if your roll is not in on time, you will be bumped to the last draft position/s.

Hope that wasn't too confusing and good luck with your rolls!


4) Determining the overall 2015 champion
Since there will be an Alpha league champion as well as a Bravo league champion, the overall 2015 champion will be determined by whichever one of them scores the most points throughout the playoffs (i.e. weeks 14-16).

Tie-breakers:
-If by some stroke of luck they are tied, then the first tie-breaker will be overall W-L record.
-If they are still tied at that point, the next tie-breaker will be their division W-L record.
-And I seriously doubt it will happen but if we are still tied, then we will work "on count back", comparing their W-Ls starting from the last regular season game and going backwards. I.e. if team A winning in week 15 would trump team B losing in week 15.

As usual a low roll for me:( Better than last year though. I bet I will be in Alpha league.
