Alienware m17xr4 won't even get past the initializing screen. I tried searching for it on other websites but too many people with no boot problems obviously the hard drive. I'm hoping my problem is not that mine starts with the very first screen that is not even the part where I can get to the bios. It is resetting faster than I can hit anything. I've tried taking out the battery and tried hitting f2, f8 , ctrl alt dlt repeatedly, it honestly is resetting every 10 seconds, it's fast. Any help much appreciated sorry about grammar on the phone here. -303

The only time I have had that problem with a laptop/notebook the battery was messed up, or the voltage regulators were messed up. So the only idea I have would be replace the battery.

Call Dell or alienware and see what they say. If it's still under warranty you might be able to send it to them for repairs.

personally i would say dont use and alienware at all, first one i ever got did the same thing in 3 days. when i called they said nope cant give a refund back cause some crap. if possible go pc or a laptop, just not alienware.

Did you try resetting the CMOS?

Also, try taking the battery out and plugging the machine in, then powering on.

If you can't access the basic I/O service, there's an issue, yes.

I'm free tech support if ya need me man, just keep in mind I work a lot, so availability is limited.
