Just got a headset so I am jumping between my headset and 7.1 surround system so hard to pick one. Wonder what you guys use for audio.(fyi my bro(prokiller) has semi-same setup just his mic is cheaper a little.)
Mention if I am causing world proverty by spending this amount of money on sound

Speakers would be fun, but with a 4 year old in the house that is normally asleep while Bubbles pwns me, it's usually the headset. Fortunately, there's a convenient built in mic.

Headphones and a desktop mic, ftw! It's loads better than speaks for gaming, imo. For music, though, I use a really nice speaker setup 'cause I like to feel the bass.

I pretty much use Headphones exclusively... Then my game doesn't interrupt the missus who's watching some cheesy sitcom.

Also I have my pc plugged into my stereo... So my speakers are on the floor below me so I lose a lot of the sound...

With the 'phones on I can hear everything pretty well... I may invest in a more expensive set though
