Do any of you guys have experience recording gameplays? I'm thinking about creating a YouTube channel for Day of Defeat: Source. I'm definitely not good as most of you, but I think it will be fun to upload some kills that I achieve throughout our servers.

Any advice is appreciated.

I believe Fraps is a good recording tool. Lark has made some cool ones and uploaded them to the eGO you tube channel. Nicoll and Lark have both done it, but great idea david! would like to see more

My advice as I'm still learning myself. Go for it! There are a lot of different recording softwares I use fraps as I bought it when I was younger but it does not have a compiler built in so if you are limited on storage DO NOT use fraps dxstory is another recording option. Also having an editing software is useful but I did use windows live movie maker for a long time. If you have any questions shoot me a message and I will answer to my fullest ability!

Best option is to record the demo in game and once done and you want to record what was on the demo to type in console "playdemo name." You can then type demoui to bring up a player to help to rewind, slow down, and speed up the game play.

If you have nvdia graphic card with 600 series or later you can use their software.
