Don't feel like waiting for Windows to decide when you can upgrade? I didn't either. If you have Windows 7 or newer you are able to get a free upgrade to Windows 10. Follow link below scroll down and select Download Tool Now (32bit or 64bit). Open the .exe once it downloads and click upgrade PC now. You do not need to backup anything (if you are upgrading **NOT clean install**) it will keep everything where it was and all programs installed. If you want make a clean install it will give you the option to create an ISO. Takes about an hour or so start to finish.

Windows 10 is ok I suppose. Still a bit early to use it because of the bugs. Thanks for the info though.
 
Ill be waiting until the first year of Win10 is done. Im still a huge fan of Win7
 
Done- after a few driver updates- runs smooth as silk. Now for the true test...a fresh install of Win10. Does anyone have experience with how to put BF4 on a secondary SSD rather than the OS SSD? Is it really just as simple as selecting the drive during the install process or do you have to move files around?
 
Something to note for those who prefer to do a clean install of Windows 10 (which should be the case when doing any Windows upgrade). You must upgrade the current install, let it activate, then you can do a clean install If you do a clean install (format the drive) and then install it, Windows will not activate.
 
Dodging the upgrade like the plague. Going to wait till I have to pay to update, which is going to be a long long time I think.

Got tired of the upgrade icon and removed it, until Microsoft made it so you couldn't with an essential update.

Microsoft's site says one year from availability, which should be something like July 27, 2016.

I upgraded, then did a clean install on my main box. It "seems" faster than 7 and 8.1. We'll see about stability soon enough..

I have a feeling they will push it back to try and get more and more people to switch too it(the update numbers have petered out), but seeing that they are trying to bring some of the worst things to 7/8/8.1 with the last few updates. Going to be holding off for as long as possible.

Going from 7 to 8.1 I barely seen much of a speed boost with the programs I run, Hell the most noticeable difference is at start up I don't even see the Windows splash screen in 8.1 compared to quarter of a second in 7.
