College Thread

Hey everyone,

I'm new to the community I've been on CS:GO Jail a lot recently and decided it was time to make an account on the site. So, first thread. I'm cramming my summer term in college doing dreaded Visual Basics .Net class. Literally miserable going back to such a beginner's course since I've been programming for 8 years, I'm 20 now and I've known I wanted to be a software engineer since I was 12 years old.

So here's the thread. Do you go to college? If so what do you study, how long have you known you wanted to make this your career, and how long have you practiced your major now and before actually going to college?

Hello,

I just got my BS in bioengineering from UC Berkeley. I'm off to U of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign to get a M.Eng in bioinstrumentation. I only heard of my major when I was applying, it combined two fields I love. I do research on animal locomotion to make robots.

I've always wanted to work with animals, now I want to build experiment equipment like sensors for research.

I'm going to be going to WIU in either the Spring or Fall for Computer Science I believe. I'm going in as general studies though, just in case that's not what I truly want to major in.

In a cal state, need 2 more semester to complete my accounting concentration class to receive my BA in accounting.

Going to the University Of Wisconsin, starting in civil engineering this year!

Purdue. Double majored in Management and Accounting.

MBA from Indiana Wesleyan.

Currently in the process of getting my CPA.
