Battlefield Division Battlelog, is it necessary?

Does anyone else agree that DICE and EA should do away with battlelog and origin both being necessary to open Battlefield 4?

Hopefully when they launch BF5 and Battlefront, it will be another option in the game menu. Not everyone has amazing internet (I'm stuck with rural ISPs during the week) and as such I lag every 10-20 seconds in game since I have to have Origin open, but I close battlelog once I'm in game.

I agree. It's stupid to have to depend on the internet to play the campaign. I think that Battlelog is good when it comes to MP but not for SP.

Battlelog will not be used for Star Wars Battlefront, it's been confirmed. Like most people I like the stat tracking battlelog has, but it's a freaking game. It should have its own game browser, not use an internet browser to launch it.

Right there with you. Have a server browser within the game, launch it directly from the Origin client. If you want stats, fine, have the servers upload data to Battlelog for viewing stuff like that, but all your loadouts and what not should be done within the game. Truthfully Battlelog is just a cheap way of making up for not developing things in game and is an easy out for them. The web development I'm sure is WAY easier than having to code that stuff in to the game itself...

Personally, I actually like battlelog. I don't understand why I need origin open at the same time, but I like battlelog because when you get on there, you can see immediately who is on and what server they are playing on.

I personally agree with you, but that should be an option, not a requirement to launch the game .exe. EA/DICE should just make the interface like bad company, where you can check your stats in game, but if you would like to check out of game they would keep the battle log as an option. That way you wouldn't have to get in game to look up your stats, that's just my two cents though.

I agree because when it was bfbc2 and older ones you did the campaign if you changed computer or something you have to remember do it on battle log you don't

As I have dual screen (19" on the laptop, 27" led next to it) I play on the laptop screen and have the Battlelog BattleScreen open on the other. It gives a nice edge, especially when locating them pesky snipers as they light up on the map for a sec or two when they fire

After spotting, shoving an UCAV down their throats is appropriate answer

I admit, Battlelog has its uses, but for the love of everything holy, it should not be mandatory to open just to even play the campaign. Seriously, a 50GB+ file and it doesn't even have a menu to launch the damn game. In my opinion, BF-BC2 and most of their previous titles had perfect launch menus, then they crammed battlelog down our throat when they launch medal of honor-war fighter

Yup BF4 runs smoothly on max settings
