So with the Tournament right around the corner some new and exciting news was released today for the CS:GO Community! Check it out!

So for the Pick'em Challenge this year it looks like it will be more difficult to get a Gold Trophy. Not only do you have pick the correct teams to earn points it looks like they are implementing a new Stats Based Player Pick'em where you have to choose a player each day from each Group / Team who you think will have;

Group Stage | Day 1: Highest Headshot Percentage
Group Stage | Day 2: Most First Kills
Quarter Finals: Most Pistol Kills
Semifinals / Finals: Best K Ratio

The cool thing about the new Player Pick'em is they released new stickers that actually have the players autograph, for those who don't know if you play the Pick'em Challenge you get to keep the stickers you buy for it, and some can be worth a decent amount depending on Team / Player, and overall look. So for my first day I did some research and reviewed past matches Online / LAN and from this I decided to make the picks that I did; TSM, Fnatic, Envyus, and VP. I know they are pretty standard among other peoples picks and I feel that they are Safe Picks. Of course people aren't going to agree with these picks and go a different route and honestly NiP, Na'Vi, Kinguin, Titan, Cloud9, and Mousesports could easily upset my picks on Day 1.

As for the Player Picks for day 1 which is Highest Headshot Percentage I chose;
- F0rest, ScreaM, flamie, and n0thing.
Honestly I kind of regret spending the money on buying these seeing as any player could take it and they cost me on average $3.00 per sticker... Remember there is no real guarantee on who will do well for this new section of the Pick'em Challenge (except ScreaM with 76% HS%). Best of luck to everyone on your Day 1 Picks.

Well so far so good, Envyus and TSM both advance +12 points ez! Safe to say my f0rest pick was a flop, not sure about ScreaM I know he had a very high first and second half on Overpass.. Over 65% I believe. :thumbup1:

Yeah picked TSM, Fnatic, Envyus, and C9. Headshot% was Get_Right, Scream, Flamie, and n0thing.

It ended up being TSM, Fnatic, Envyus, VP. Headshot% ugh... Cutler, dennis, rallen, and emagine... like really? At one point rain had an 80% headshot rate off 6 kills, then he killed like 4 people and none of them were head shots and ruined it. xD

As for tomorrow I have for most first kills flamie, forest, shroud and idk for the last group.

The player picks are ridiculous to guess correctly... I had no problem with the Team picks though, here are my predictions for Day 2!

As for my Player Pick'ems I decided not to spend anymore money right now seeing as it can be too random. I still think that Flamie has a great chance to take his Group for First Kills, and I feel strongly that Fallen if he performs the same way that he did in Day 1 that he will come out on top in his group.

Wow we almost had the same for HS. Only reason I didn't pick forest is because he occasionally picks up the awp so it seemed like Get_right was the clear best but nope.

As for day two I have the same except I have Shroud for the most first kills simply because he went crazy on cobble against VP with the first kills. He seems to be their best entry on that map but they could play another and Freakazoid could go off so it really could be anyone. For the last group though still don't have anyone.

Also why Luminosity? Just wanna hear your thoughts on that. I think mouz could take that group. As for everything else that's who I have as well. Breaks my heart that Kinguin is in same group as C9.

Just because of their performance in both games, I mean they could of advanced, a few small slip ups and envyus took control, but it was a very close game, and I feel if they can do that to Kinguin and Envyus I know they have a good chance against the remain teams in that group.. Mousesports are a great team.. I just feel like LG have this chemistry right now. It really comes down to map choice.

Oh and I take it you got your bronze?

So they messed up on the Player Pick'em... and I guess I did as well... They never said Day 2 there would be two winners, and they didn't factor in that two of the bottom teams would potentially play 2 matches increasing their first kill scores... Ridiculous that they set it up that way and didn't say Top Two Players... RIP

That and they didn't even add a second person for Group H... I don't know if they haven't decided it yet, but its like this whole Player Pick'em should of been in Beta first before they released this garbo :thumbdown:.. Did you end up getting Bronze? Silver?

I don't know what to think about Envy vs Navi.

I think TSM, VP, and Fnatic for the others though.

As for Pistol kills... I have no idea. x__x

As of right now I'm 2 points from Silver. So ya Cloud 9 blew it again, their CT-side was brutal.. Shroud and n0thing didn't perform anywhere near the way they have on the road to ELS One.. As for Envyus and Navi, I'm going to go with Envyus, but if it's Overpass, Cache, or Inferno I think Navi has the advantage. Yeah the only thing worth doing now for the Player Pick'em is just put at least two random cards just to get 2 points.
