Has anyone on Gravelpit noticed...

I actually tend to play on Gravelpit a decent amount. (According to HLStats, Convoy is the only server I play on more.) It does seem to get a little rowdier in there than on other servers. That said, we can always look on the bright side of things: it's nowhere near as bad as many pub servers. I usually try to put some time in there each week just to make sure things stay under control.

Yup, just the other day I was playing on gravelpit and Thatguy had to leave to go eat dinner (one of the three admins I'd seen on there that day and the only one there at the time), within 2 minutes I was in the works of finding an admin to come and set the server straight. There were probably 4 different people that made fun of me for trying to enforce the rules (someone's name had to do with drug abuse). But, I want to thank any admin that goes to gravelpit, because I play there a lot and have noticed that people wait until admins are gone to start with the monkey business (no offense to Monkeybits).

i have seen quite a few, then they go all out with gay prn sprays and racial language just to do it.

now that i know how to make a demo, they wont be getting away with it.

Warpath has been very quiet lately, apart from the occasional person with an inappropriate name, who is quickly dealt with by the admins. At times, half or more of the players there are eGO members, and with the amount of mic chatter going on among us, there isn't a whole lot of opportunity for people to interrupt and start causing trouble.

2Fort also seems to have a large number of eGOs, and I know some of the regulars there are admins.

Dustbowl can be a mixed bag. At times, it can be pretty troublesome, especially after the admins leave. I remember times where people would explicitly ask if there were admins around, and others would reply that they didn't think there was anyone with admin powers around. I also tend to see multiple members from a clan show up at Dustbowl, more so than some of the other servers for some reason, and that can mean trouble because they tend to get bold in numbers.

I rarely play the other servers, but one of the only times I was on Gravelpit, I remember Bubbles getting a bit of grief after she asked someone to stop cursing.

I've noticed that convoy is so sniper-friendly that there have been wallhackers recently. Keep an eye out for that.

Doobs, no offense taken. You're right that many people wait for admins not to be there. I'm shocked by the ones who don't seem to care. I played on Gravelpit for a couple of hours last night and saw 5 bans (did 1 myself). If anyone loves this map and has admin, it would be good to go ahead and implement Judge's server regulars idea. Feel free to hang out on that server a lot!

I'd say that "dustbowl" sounds more hardcore. After all, what is more "hardcore" than living throught the great depression in the "dustbowl" region? :?:

I think the main reason that there are more griefers on that map is because valve hasnt really looked at that map good enough and have made it possible to exploit on it easier on it than any other map...take a look at youtube and you will c that most griefers are on gravelpit
