it lowered my ping by >20! with 0% packet loss! i used to lose a good amount of packets without it... wo0t

i need this for battlefield 2 also... i've seen other people with their ping lowered by 10 and whatever, but has anyone gotten theirs lowered by >20?

I Download Gamerail and it works fine and all but for some reason it removes from my computer when I re-boot and the entire program even the installer are removed from my computer, checked my firewall settings and stuff, I have no clu what it could be ne help?? and or advice

If my ping was lowered by >20 ping I wouldnt have any ping at all lol and that was before I installed gamerail which for me didn't make too much of a difference lol

It should be free for us I believe once it gets out of beta. But I've noticed a huge change where I could play tf2 again without lag, but now ym cpu is dying so yeah...I've found ti helps out for me right now, though with ym new setup idk if i'll be able to notice a major change

Just registered and installed the client, I really like the fact that they offer a 64bit version. Hopefully I'll be able to test it out tonight after the kids are in bed and see if it helps me any. Right now I float between 45 and 60ms, so it's not bad at all, but if I can shave or even smoothe out the curve it's worth it.

Connection is second only to mouse precision for Snipers like me =)

EDIT:

Well, just testing from command line, it takes me from 11 hops to 7, but it adds 2-3ms to my ping times for each hop. I'll see how it does ingame shortly

Well GameRail and I don't seem to be very compatible =/ That 2-3ms difference in Windows translated to around +10-+15ms in TF2. Great concept, and awesome tool for those that benefit from it. Guess I can't try to be too greedy

We have seen great results with people having drops in their lag even if they don't see huge changes in ping. This is pretty exciting. If you can reduce or eliminate packet loss and lag and you already had a low ping, then your playing experience becomes pretty much perfect. We're hoping to have more direct involvement with Gamerail to help us with any of the technical issues that arise, but so far, most of the feedback has been very positive.
