Looking to upgrade ssd

So I have a Samsung 840 EVO ssd 120gb. However I notice plenty of ssd's that are very cheap on eBay that are 240gb. My question is that what is the best value/performance ratio thats on the market outside of Samsung? Just fyi, this will not replace my current ssd, but if anything, it will be an add-on.

You want to look at read/write performance tests and reviews to make sure you're getting the best bang for your buck.

What is your budget? If it's under $100, you're looking at a 250GB.

Outside of Samsung? you generally can't go wrong with a brand like Crucial.

Of course, the bigger the budget the better options.

I personally shop by benchmarks. Here is a list of the top drives on the market right now. Scroll down the list until you find one that fits your budget. You honestly can't go wrong buying most PC parts this way.

If you're set on the 250GB models, then its basically a wash between the 850 EVO and the BX100.

However, if you want to splurge and get a 500GB model I'd definitely get the 850 EVO, since it is rated for 150TB, while the BX100 is rated at 72TB for all capacities.

I went low budget Kinston V300 128gb 450 rated, have to use a pcie controller card to bypass non supported AHCI and 2.0 interface on old MB still hit 400mbps read/write not to bad.

Will be getting a samsung evo later on though

Hold on to your money. Get a 500GB SSD for under $180 dollars. Mass drop had one for $169.99
