Tech Help Friend's Custom Desktop request

Hey guys, I've received awesome opinions from this community when asking for help with a build. This time, a dear friend of mine has agreed to try out custom PC gaming. However she did not specify what games she wanted to play. I do know she plays World of Tanks, Battlefront 2, and League of Legends. She gave me a budget of $1200, tax included.

Any reason why you're going with the blu-ray drive? Most often they don't come with the software to play Blu-rays, which you will need to buy separately. Happened to me; bought a drive, but it came with software. However, about 3 months after buying it, it wouldn't play a new blu-ray I bought and I figured out that I would have to pay about $40 to activate a new license to play the newer blu-rays that are being released. Essentially, it's a subscription service that's a load of crap...

But if your friend has it, then by all means, no issues. The overall build looks fine; good job on o $1K build.

Looks like a solid build. I have a GTX 960 and I love it I am inclined to agree with Snipeye on the blu-ray though.

Spend what extra? I was talking about removing the Blu Ray if it's not needed. Would drop the price to about $1050.. where if she wants to spend $1200, the extra $150 you can now spend on a higher i7 CPU, the 970 or AMD-equivalent GPU, or go with two larger SSDs....
