Life-Changing Music

So, speaking of life-changing songs, neither my wife nor I are big dancers. We feel foolish dancing in front of other people, and so we simply don't do it. At our wedding, we decreed that there would be no dancing because we had no intention of doing it, so why should anyone else?

Early on, however, shortly after I met her, I bought a copy of Espace Ornano, an excellent live album from Timbuk 3. She and I were hanging around in her apartment and listening to the CD. The song "Sinful Life," which I have since come to love deeply, came on, and she and I quietly danced with each other in her tiny living room.

I can't find a video or audio stream anywhere with this song in it, so I'm going to violate all kinds of good taste and just post the lyrics here:

Anyways the music that changed my life was Robot Rock, because it's awesome
The band that really changed things for me though was Queens of the Stone Age. Their style just really fits me for some reason and I don't know they've been one of the only bands I have been extremely into so yeah.
 
Let's see, a song that changed my life... hmmm... Well I can't say a particular song changed my life, but just listening to music in general makes me happy and it allows me to express my emotion without saying them. but if I had one song, It would be Dare you to Move by Switchfoot.
 
Like PurpleNurple I absolutely cannot paint/draw without music on. Without music quilting is a chore, but turn even just a random radio station and it becomes enjoyable.
There is a reason why movies have scores...
I think favorite music also depends on what is going on in your life. There was a time when I would only listen to Country music, because it resonated with my life at that time and moved me in a way that no other music ever had.
Then I went through a period of time where it was solo piano music.
Now it happens to involve lots of Kids' Music...

That is a beautiful story... *sniffle* I wish mine was that beautiful, but in retrospect, it's actually kind of funny...

My fiancee and I had only been together for a few months at the time, and I was of the same mind that if anyone ever caught me dancing outside of my bathroom, life as I knew it would be over. Sooooo she and I were walking back to the car after a fun day at Universal Studios, and a song came over the PA system... a song which inspired me to dance like there was no tomorrow... That was a life-changing moment for me, and I will never forget that night. The same song will undoubtedly be our first dance at our wedding.

That whole album by them, "Born Into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upwards" is intensely beautiful.

These are more rare:
If someone can find it, "Come and Play" by Digitonal is basically the soundtrack to falling in love. !lol
And anything by "Godspeed You! Black Emperor" or "Explosions in the Sky" will take you places in yourself you never knew you had, or were afraid to explore.
