Please put a strict ping limit if you want good players playing on your server. Otherwise, it will be filled with dusting and other various server performance issues.

Battle(non)sense has stated time and time again that servers need to enforce a 75 ms ping limit to reduces lag, dusting issues, and other various hit reg problems. In addition, he was the person who mathematically deduced that the dusting from the previous patch (prior to the server hot fix) that the FHT was not at 1, and was closely to .14 -- it was actually at 0.125. He's an authority on server performance and player to player server interaction between a high ping / low ping.

Fix this.

This has been discussed and brought forward multiple times as far as I know. I believe eGO wants to be open to all players.

However I can let you know that the average Ping on eGO servers is usually below 100ms for all players ( arithmetic average).

Talking about FHT. There is a build in CTE currently testing seperate FHT values for infrantry and vehicle combat, which should improve the situation even more.

Like ElectricCookie said, we're open to all players. We're a global gaming community, and if we put a ping limiter on we would essentially be kicking our own members that live nowhere near the servers we host, which we don't want to do since many donate to keep them running. My ping averages 5ms-8ms on our servers since I'm so close to where they are hosted, but that doesn't let high pingers ruin my game, and I still end up somewhere on the top of the leaderboard. We've got tons of good players on our servers all the time, and our servers are high up in the rankings as you can see here. Hopefully the game itself will be patched some more to improve the networking aspects of the game. But we do appreciate the input and feedback on our servers.

Open to all players except those that have a ping of 600+...which was me, then whenever I got my new phone and was able to tether and get a better ping, it would kick me saying it didn't recognize the IP or something. This was on our BF2 server..I can understand ping limits due to the player lagging like crazy to where you can't hit them and giving them an unfair advantage.

No need to say more. Looks like you have your answer. Take care.
