Battlefield 4 About Voice Changers/Sound Boards

Hello Everyone,

Just a public service announcement: While voice changers and soundboards can be funny and related to gaming they are also disruptive to players in Teamspeak attempting to talk and play. Not everyone is entertained by them. Please try not to use voice changers and soundboards while in Teamspeak. Please be respectful to those playing and talking during gameplay. Those who forget will be pm’d about using them and if any disruptive behavior is continued then that player will be kicked from Teamspeak. Occasional music will be allowed but must be agreed upon with that in channel or with prior notification. If sounds are needed during events consult first with the Division Leaders/Advisors and they will be announced with an event post. Any sound that is offensive or drug related is Absolutely Not Allowed.

I to have been kind of disrupted when playing last week i got a headshot stated it then idk who plyed the headshot sound effect from a soundboard then it threw me off and got killed i was like what was that.

I completely support. Don't need soundboards or the people who abuse them in a channel with 20 people. Its gets annoying as hell

I agree, constant use of soundboards is very annoying, in idle conversation and especially so when trying to talk to team mates. Now, I don't mind too much if someone uses one once and awhile for added comedic effect when it goes with the conversation but constant use and spamming of it, especially while other people are trying to talking and carrying on a conversation, is incredibly rude and unneeded.

This crack down on soundboards shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who frequents Room 5 (the greatest of all rooms, praise be it).

I only had an issue with one, and it was a drug reference, confronted the person yet I had to hear it every day, lost all respect for the person and their blatant disrespect to me and to the rules of eGO

First off i have no problem with sound boards being banned. But i dont get how people can say that it disrupts their playing. Sound boards are usually just a 3-10 second voice of a famous person or a funny saying. So it is pretty much a person talking for 3-10 seconds. I agree it gets annoying when they get over used, but used at the right time once in a while, i don't really get the big deal.

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but overall soundboards are generally used to spam/troll, prime example is the 'troll-popular' sound of a guy screaming loudly, or a high pitched noise..both of which usually end up being left on until the user gets banned.

Sure there may be a few that use it for occasions like you mentioned, and I too don't mind those types of situations, but because of it's general/repeated usage I'm guessing is the reason why they're no longer allowed.

Yes but those same trolls can just join a channel and scream at the top of their lungs without a soundboard and do they same amount of trolling,

Anything can become bad. Just like when we have members from other divisions come in and talk relentlessly or we get on a subject about guns or dice. In my opinion anyone that comes into teamspeak and wants to talk nonstop for 2 hours needs to do it elsewhere and i believe that its worse than soundboards.

I just have to point out that when they become a tool to insult or interrupt, it gets really annoying. Plus, a few of the new members need to be more respectful and less hostile. They really should read the eGO Code of Conduct. Just saying....
