that actually is not ASUS's fault, Intel changed the 45nm structure and the last minute restoring 6 series SLI motherboard to no longer support it

Lies! It was intels fault on changing the specs on yorksfield, I am pretty sure a 6 series SLI can support 45nm dual core, but not the quads because of intel. And Intels P5K series are one of the best P35 chipsets out there.

not true. i know tons of ppl with 45mm quads on a 680i
It DOES work on the 6xx series. But ASUS didn't have the frickin' bios out to support it. I had an inside lap at ASUS FTP server and managed to grab the latest BIOS after being directed there by some guys at the ASUS forums. That one SUPPORTED 45nm. It didn't come out for general release till a week or so later.
