Tech Help Asus Laptop Freezing

Having some issues with my gaming laptop. Specifically two games GTA V and NFS Rivals. Battlefield 4 seems to work fine. Anyways with the other two games it will freeze and has displayed two different errors (listed below) audio will sometimes glitch and and even hard locked the PC. I did drop the laptop about the time this started it was in the case but still left a small dent on the corner. Any help is appreciated. Drivers are updated as of last week. Also when I open the Geforce control panel it will sometimes freeze and or the driver will stop and then recover again.

What version of Direct X are you using when you try to play these games?

It almost sounds like your DirectX version is newer then what the games support AKA a compataiblity problem.

What OS are you running?

Could be corrupted files for GTA V and NFS. I would recommend a re-install, or if using steam, verify integrity of game cache.

I rolled back my drivers to about may of this year. It appears to be working for now. I'll update if something changes.
