Newegg is gonna have the Samsung 850 EVO 250gb ssd on sale for $80. Do yall think thats a good deal? Ive been considering upgrading my current ssd (in which ill give my current 1 to my mom as a nice bonus gift).

Heres the supposed ssd in question: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=2187655&SID=

Does anyone know of a better bang for the buck deal? Mind you that im not gonna go higher than 250gb on this search. I was originally thinking about going after a 240gb, but 10 more gigs doesnt hurt anything.

Excellent deal and has very good reviews. I've had my 840 EVO for several years now (was a good bang for buck even then) and I cannot say enough good things about it.

I currently have the Samsung 840 EVO 128gb ssd, so its last gen.

Going with a EVO myself on new build when it happens totally satisfied with my Kingston V300 on this rig as MB does not support ACHI and have to bypass with controller card. It will be a media server once I get a new rig built they got some good deals going on right now on these models too.

So the deal has just started on the Samsung 850 EVO 250gb ssd. The great news is that if you happen to have Amazon Prime (whether its the year-long membership or doing a trial version, like im doing), then Amazon is discounting the same ssd for a similar price ($2 less & you get free 2-day shipping with Prime). If you dont have Amazon Prime, feel free to try it for 30-days. Ive already cancelled my 30-day trial & everyday I get a notification by the site saying that it will end on a certain day.

Overall, its up to you if you want to get it from either website. Imho, the only big difference is that Newegg ships the product out a little slower.
