ban grenades on attack vs attack in realism. It is 100% contrary to the point of the round, because you have to sit there and wait for the grenades to explode, so there is inevitably camping. I don't find the AvA rounds to be attack oriented at all, i'm usually rushing up while dudes just spam nades from spawn.

NZ lol too funny. You are at war soldier get back on your feet!

Have to agree. That nade spam off the beginning of the round is extremely cheesey. Also doesn't help that the rifles can be totally imbalanced on different maps, hence we should force pistol only.

Sorry if this comes out rude, but restricting nades like you're describing here isn't really much different than that of a normal Realism round, and the rules are pretty much the same for the Attackers then.

Not disrespectful, but I do however have no idea what you are talking about.

You were suggesting banning grenades on AvA rounds during Realism because it basically keeps one or both teams stuck in or near spawn for a bit until the grenades explode on certain maps, correct? (I say certain maps because there have been various maps where the defending teams' grenades can't reach anywhere near spawn)

What I was getting at is that this situation isn't all that different when compared with non-AvA rounds for the Attacking team - Majority of the non-AvA rounds that I've seen the Defending team launches grenades into the area outside of the attackers' spawn, having the same effect as what you're describing, but usually just until the way is safe/clear of grenades.

Hope this helps.

I agree with no nades, but the rifles ARE imbalanced, which is why one person gets to choose the team, and the other gets first pick. This is all in case of AvA. I dont see going to pistols only, but I would be in favor of no nades.

Ah I see what you are saying. There's some logic to that but I guess I can sit in spawn on attack vs attack rounds and pick off 3-4 kills and then go, cause I was "waiting out the nades"

Forgot to mention this when I posted that last part -

I related it to the Attacking team on non-AvA rounds because the rule is basically the same for them - they can't camp either..but at the same time, what can you do with nades that are just outside spawn?

Just one of those 'gray-but-permitted' areas, if that makes sense. ;)

I understand thats what the situation is currently. I want the situation to be different. Now that I think about it though it might be fun to spawn camp so I can /flex and #scoreboard

Honestly, for everyone reading this thread... If we dont get some better attendance at realism, this whole conversation will be for nothing, because there will be no realism to change.

Make some time for realism, and other events if you can! I know there are lots of other games to be played, but we can still set aside an hour a day for our division
