So even tho I have an 8gb flash drive (that I rarely use), Im noticed that plenty of 128gb flash drives are going on sale (more specifically usb 3.0 versions). My question is do you guys prefer 1 company in the technology over another by chance?

Various companies will use a certain type of flash RAM in their products. I like Sandisk, Corsair, and Lexar flash drives over others. You'll start to see a massive drop, even after black Friday, as newer/fasrer flash technology is coming out. I ordered a 64 GB Lexar USB 3.0 flash drive to "replace" my existing 32 GB Sandisk 2.0 flash drive, but may order a few 8 or 16 GB flash drives, as well as a much needed 64 GB+ MicroSD for one of my Pi's.

Also, with the mention of flash technology coming down in price, you will see a reduction in price on SSD's, as I've already seen 960 GB SSD's approach the $100 mark.

If the Corsair Flash Voyager goes on sale, I suggest purchasing it. Not only is it a fast usb drive, it also houses a micro usb male end that utilizes the same storage as the regular USB. If you're sporting a phone or tablet with a micro USB port, I highly suggest buying one.
