Battlefield 4 Server Question

Hey all,

I was just wondering if you guys were considering anything special for the upcoming Dragon Valley map. DV was such a popular map in Battlefield 2 and I always felt it was the most fairly designed map of Battlefield.

Would EGO consider maybe changing one of the 24/7 Servers to the new Dragon Valley, or maybe setting up a new server?

I can't speak for the BF division but best guess would be they would probably try it on the current Metro server.

Metro is doing well and we would hurt it by testing maps on it.

Yes, Metro is coming along well now and to change it....well I agree with Artimus, I think it would run people off if we changed it at this point. I think we are finally starting to get regulars in there now, and the more people that find out about it I think it will fill up and grow more!

Yep a lot of hours have gone in to getting the metro server populated, maybe we could add it to pop maps for awhile and replace lockers with it?

We might be able to pop it into the =(eGO)= Event Server from time to time

= eGO = Operation Turkey Outbreak server. Let the event server run opOutbreak for over the weekend, see how it fares. Or, put it in pop maps. With Dragon valley out soon, yeah, we will want to get it going on something. Don't touch the 24/7 servers, they are doing fine.

And then, advertise on the other servers to check this one out. We call it "Turkey day leftovers"

That'd be a perfect idea. I was already thinking it should be added to Conq Pop map as loads of BF vets loved Dragon Valley. I know lots of players hate when Op Lockers comes up into the rotation and Dragon Valley would be a suitable replacement.

Metro population has been doing well due to all the eGO members seeding it daily... it's auto-balance programming still sucks though.

Hello guys,

As Artimus has mentioned we will not be changing Metro Server at this time with new maps. We can play them on the event server. The reason the new maps are not in main rotations is because they are considered to run like DLC maps. For those who asked about having Op Outbreak on for Thanksgiving weekend they are added and running in the event server renamed to eGO Operation Turkey Trot

Love everything about our metro server except, as others have mentioned, the auto-balance is awful.

Metro is doing great, however, I'd take this opportunity to point out that rush kills the server, requiring it to be reseeded many times.
