Error message when trying to connect to CSS Ego server

[banner248]

Today I tried to connect to the Ego server and I got a message stating something along the lines of "This server is running on a newer version of the game". So obviously my first thing I tried was to see if there were any updates on Steam I needed to download, but it said I was on the latest version. Any ideas on why I'm getting this message? Thanks all

Try to restart steam. If that doesn't work let me know.

Maybe verify game cache as well
