Thanks to all who attended the Admin Round Table and for valuable input and discussion. At one point we had 50 members and leadership in channel. Everyone was calm without talking over each other or screaming while in game. Thank you all!
Here are the meeting notes:
1: When making ban requests please put in all information that is in the template. If you choose you can use the tool that Agent has created for faster posting. Anything that is more than a kick or for repeat problems a ban request should be filled out. eGO level admins can temp ban up to two weeks. eGO admins must also place MAUL notes for temp bans and still complete a ban request on the forums. The reason for ban requests is for easy tracking of player incidents and for proof in case they contest a ban. Pubs and e ranked members can also make ban requests for problem players in the servers.
2: All members can issue warnings to players for server infractions. When issuing warnings please be specific to what infraction has occurred. We use the Warn/Kick/Ban system. When kicking players Do Not Use ?Uncap Violation? for a reason. Instead use ?Entering Uncaps? ?Firing Into Uncaps? ?Throwing Explosives Into The Uncaps? ?Mortaring Into or From Uncaps? and so on with specific reasons. We do not kick with the reason ?Hacking? if you suspect a player is hacking or is one of those known hackers please kick with the reason ?Server Disruption? Leadership will determine who is hacking and update the MAUL notes. Please provide video or screenshot proof when placing ban requests for those hacking. There are plenty of sites available for members to use including pbbans mbi, bf4db, 24/7fairplay, and metabans. Cookiebakka suggested the website http://puush.me/ to use to bind keys on your keyboard for warning messages. This site helps to store messages that are commonly used as warnings and can be assigned hot keys to use while in game. He has created a video of how to use the site in the eG forums. If others would like to know how to use it contact him in TS. Binary also has a tutorial in the eGO forums to set up hotkeys for warnings in game. You can also contact him in TS.
3: Do Not ask leadership all day long to look up players for you that you suspect is hacking or causing problems. Please do your own research into the player and present that information in a ban request. If it is one of the major known hackers and leadership is on ask to see if they can remove them from the server.
4: Admins are Not to be kicking other admins from the server. If there is any issue with an eG or eGO member please message or contact a member of leadership to handle the situation. Pubs and e ranked member still fall under the W/K/B for server infractions. If an e ranked member is having continuous issues with rules please contact leadership to handle the situation as well. If a player is wearing EdgeGamers tags in game but you are unsure if they are members check the website by searching the name as there are many new members. If you cannot determine who they are attempt to use admin commands of psay or yell to get their attention. Remember we also have many members from other divisions playing in our server so you might not know they are members of eGO. Kick them only as a last resort if it can?t be determined that they are members.
5: Swearing is not allowed by members in server chat or voice chat. Please remind those who are doing so that it is against eGO rules for members. Pubs can swear as long as it is not disruptive, racist, or disrespectful. Members can use light language in Rated R rooms in TS. However members should not be disrespectful towards other members in the servers or in Teamspeak. Please Do Not make hackusations without proof.
6: Teamspeak channels-Each division has sets of channels for the games and servers that they run. Each game channel will have a few sub channels if someone wants to game quietly or join other members in a squad chat. We Do Not enforce telling players or member that they must go to another channel if in a different server. Players are allowed to be in any channel they choose while gaming. Many go to channels that are full to hang out with friends and fellow gamers. If the conversation is getting loud you can politely ask for players to calm down a bit so that others can chat and talk as well. There are not always channels for Unsupported Games such as Battlefront or Need for Speed and others. OpX should be asked first if they will be hosting new games not related to a specific division. They will create channels for unsupported games if they feel like there is enough players otherwise they will not create those channels. Currently for Battlefront we have edited the channel in Battlefield Division to be for Battlefield Events/Battlefront gaming.
7: Currently there are no plans to change or add maps to the Metro Server. Please keep it filled and active. The new maps will be played on the event server or during larger events. The new maps run like DLC maps so it makes them harder to keep players on a server. If you would like to play those maps and modes check with leadership or event coordinators to host them on the event server.
8: Issue with boats, tanks, and anti-air vehicles in spawn or redzones in Shanghai and in Conquest Popular Server maps. Boats and vehicles should not camp in the spawns or redzone areas. You can issue warnings for ?Camping Vehicles in Spawn or Redzone Areas? Be mindful that boats and helos have larger operating ranges when issuing warnings. If a player can?t get to them which is usually because of soldier redzones then they can be considered camping vehicles in the redzone or uncap. If a boat or helo is moving they are ok.
