Personally I enjoy freezing them, silencing them, and renaming them to "I am a cowardly ninny", but this works too.

I remember GamingRobot and I were vanished and dealing with one hacker in MC. GR spawned mobs (mostly creepers) in his tunnels, and the hacker had no idea where they were coming from. He'd block off the path and GR tp'd to him to get him from the other side. It was really amusing. lol.
