Hey everyone!

I am very very slowly working on an attack chopper tutorial for BF4. I am planning on focusing on the gunner portion of the attack chopper.

I can guess what I think people would find valuable in the turorial, but I figured since I am apart of such an excellent gaming community.... Why not just ask right?

I am going to be doing things such as recommended loadouts, what to pay attention to while your are flying, how to talk to your pilot to enable him to succeed.

Are there any details that you would think are useful to put in the video?

Keep in mind that the footage will mostly be shot in Siege of Shanghai.

Juan, for a long time I have wanted to ask you to be my coach with heli flying, but I didn't think you would have the time. Bro, make this video, and I will watch it!!! XD

Show them all the tricks(seat switch, fire ext, rocket reload, medbag, ect), but stress that the best way to improve is lots of practice. Let me know if you need any help.

I always have time for people who are willing to learn beg:) One of the biggest errors I see in beginners is that they do their own thing and let the pilot do their own thing. This is not how it works to be successful. The gunner always needs to be an aid to the pilot. Granted it's alot easier when the pilot knows what he's doing at least somewhat.

For instance, if I am hovering around the top of the building right over an enemy and not firing at him. You can bet that I am setting the gunner up for a sweet shot so we can move on.

However, this will all be in the video for people. I think what I am going to do is a two or three part series with Beginner, immediate, and advanced. I don't expect a beginner to get a seat-swap during a critical (I will explain more in the video) down very quickly. It took quite a while for me to get used to that.

Thanks for the feedback!

Repr i will certainly need your help in this creation and you have already helped immensely. I have several recordings of gunning with you that I plan to use in the tutorial.

Most of the tricks you mentioned above I will have in the advanced training video. How long did it take you to remember the seat switch during a crit? Took me sometime.

I completely understand on the "go through tail" frustration. I have had many videos on my tv going right through the choppers themselves. This due to the predictive "netcode" Same thing happens when you run behind a wall and still die from the enemy shooting at you.

Or even more, hit the transport return my screen to the chopper, but no damage. We like to call this dusting and it's very frustrating.

I hope Dice solves the water issue with 60hz so we can possible do that for shaignhai. Fyi I don't fly in any other place.

I didn't start seat switching until this summer. I have the Mad Catz RAT MMO 7 which has like 10 button on the mouse which makes it easy to switch back n forth.

Yeah it sucks lol BF3 was the same way though I doubt it will be fixed ever.

Part 1 - The chopper loadout:

While this video is a bit long, I tried to explain all options and why you might use or not use each one.

Let me know if you have questions or any issues with the video. Feel free to comment there or comment here or go crazy and do both!

Nice video man! I added you as a friend, I'm ready to learn! haha

I have nothing unlocked yet for the AH, so, sorry haha

Thanks for that feedback Jake! I appreciate it. Air Radar is really the one that is the most important to get to fast, but as long as you are paying attention to what the pilot is looking at you should be fine.

Hop in the seige server and look for 762MM_Repr, H2H0e, or myself and let us know you watched it.

If you fly with one of us, you should get your upgrades at a decent rate and we would be happy to help.

So down for this, last time i fly or did anything in the sky was back in BF2, loved it and missed it, down to learning more tbh.

Good insights I been testing the Smarts they absolutely are junk.

Mic is super low in video had to DL'd it and use VLC to bump up volume to 150% just letting you know on my end.

Just a note activating ECM to early and you will get hit best to wait till launched half / 3/4 way to you to use it.

I can't hit nothing with that TOW lol

I wished the air vehicles were still like BF2 such a huge difference from BF3 and BF4 lots more difficult to me.

First rule , look where the pilot is looking at and shoot what hes shooting nothing else exept stingers .

Neato. TV missle practice... try the test range and TV the drones, or get in a boat on the naval maps and use TV from the boat.

Btw Juandon, that white paint is actually throwing me off... I never realized why you are harder to hit with my sraw but that totally makes sense especially since I'm partially colorblind... lol

Ha! well im glad I can use it to my advantage. I sure it works decently well in that fog. When I am trying to find the other attack helicopter in that, it's very difficult no matter what color they are.
