I am buying 2 games for my nephews' new PS4 and I am unsure how to deal with DLC. First, I bought a hard copy of fallout 4, and I want to buy the DLC. If I buy from the playstation store can I gift the DLC? If I buy a digital code from Amazon, can he use that? the site made me create a PS4 account.

Similarly, I want to by Bloodborne complete edition (contains Old Hunter DLC) from Playstation store. Can I do this as well? Also does the palystation store send out hard copies or dloads? I saw nothing about it on their website. Thanks

Best option is to purchase a PSN card from any local store, tax free, and give it to him. That way, he can purchase ANYTHING he wants with it, from the store obviously. Fallout 4 has a season pass that's $30 you can purchase too, which would provide a code he'd redeem in the PlayStation Store.

Everything on the PlayStation store is a download; hard copies are typically only available in stores.

Purchasing the Bloodborne Complete Edition from the store will automatically provide the DLCs. Same with buying a physical copy; the DLCs come inside the case on a little tag usually behind the instruction manual.

TL;DR best way to gift DLC to someone is via a physical card with the codes on them for your son to redeem in the PSN store.

A PSN card is the equivalent to microsoft points. If you put $XX.XX amount of dollars on that card at the time of purchase, he can use those $XX.XX amount you put on the card in the playstation store to purchase games and DLC's.

Thanks again. I ended up going to gamestop and buying the season pass and DLC from them, together with a hard copy of bloodborne. This way they each get a game they can open and a code for their DLC. Prices were the same either way.Note that if you lose the code on the receipt you are out of luck. The guy in the store suggested that I take a photo of the codes. I did, and scanned them too
