I have no idea why the borders are dark grey and not black, like they are in my PSD.

good job, looks cool. the borders might look like this because of gradient maps? if not i dont know.

Could have made the sig pop more with more lightness/darkness touches. feels like the same brightness overall. otherwise good job

Thanks, ya I agree with the lightness/darkness, it lacks in the depth department.
