Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Question.

I love it so far, but this cool down time stuff is annoying.
Like I do great two comp matches in a row, and now I am on cool down.

I currently have 4 more matches to win before I am ranked.

Why does this happen?

It's all to prevent smurfs from getting their profiles. First players have to get to rank 3 on casual, then they can only play 2 games before going on a cool down. The idea is to make it difficult enough to discourage players to put the time in just to get a smurf account rolling.

A "smurf" is basically a player who's a high rank, trying to get a lower rank on a separate account to troll some noobs and or play with their friends.

Hahaha. Hate when it happens. Getting all pumped up, then a cool down, then repeat. But what's more annoying is to get rank 3. Once you get your skill rank you're good to go.

Glint I believe it was you months ago telling me to rank up to play comp with you.
But i've been rank 3 for a long time and JUST started playing comp two days ago. im 3-4 games away from making rank.
It's all I honestly thought about, was just ranking up and playing with people who know what they are doing.

I've been the one who told you to rank up . The problem is that you are unranked and we cannot play together due to my higher rank unless we queue with another 3 players(we have to be a party of 5). Another provision added by Valve to prevent smurfing. Catch me in TS when you wanna do a comp and we could find another 3 players to join. Cant wait. Like the good old times in CSS

Exactly. I think I am taking a break from CSS for some time other than to come and check out italy and dust2 to see if everyone is okay.
