Tech Help Debating on upgrading

CPU: AMD FX-4300 Quad Core Processor
Memory: 4 GB Ram
Resolution: 1366x768, 60Hz
OS: Windows 8.1

Those were my specs, but my question for you guys is what should be upgraded the most so I could play games like Arma 3, BF4, GTA5 etc? Or at least a list in order from most important to least. I'm not sure how all this works tbh, I just download and play.

Memory should defiantly be bumped up to 8Gb, as this is becoming the new standard for gaming. Probably then the 4300 could be bumped up to an FX-83xx depending on your budget since it is already on the AM3+ socket. What type of power supply and mother board are you using, because depending on that, they could also be upgraded.

Edit: looking at the components, I'm going to guess your running DDR-3 RAM and the upgrade shouldn't cost you any more than $50 depending on if you just buy a second 4Gb stick, or new 4Gb sticks. I'd go with DDR-3 1600MHz because that is pretty much the most common, and it runs nicely.

What Mason said. The upgrade will really depend on what motherboard you have and your power supply.

Also strange resolution you have... Is this a laptop?

No, I have an old og plasma monitor, lol and tbh I bought this tower stock off newegg.
Any way to tell?
I am honestly trying to find my way into knowing what I need because I feel like I know as much as a console pleb

So the best way to see what's inside is just to take the side panel off of it and look around for company names(Corsair, Cooler Master, etc.), product lines on the different parts (Corsair Power supple in the CX or RM) logos on different parts (MSI Dragon, Corsair Boat, Thermaktake Tt). And if your not sure what your looking at/for, feel free to take a picture of the interior of it and share it with us, so we could take a look at it as well.

And don't worry about knowing a lot about parts, qualities, companies, etc. it takes a lot of learning and time to be able to know things like this. If you'd like, I could pull together a list for you of parts and prices for your upgrades.

Ok, I'm not sure what your budget is for all the upgrades, what Graphics Card you want, and what you wanted/didn't want to upgrade, so I just made a quick list with a 4Gb 960, and an FX 8320 which just had a price drop down to $129, and some other things.
