That's right. What you are looking at is Nadine, a "socially intelligent, human-looking robot complete with 'her own personality, mood and emotions'". Nadine, developed by scientists at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, has soft skin with real hair and can smile and greet you, shake hands with you, recognize you from past conversations, and even remember the conversation. Nadine also has feelings, being happy or sad depending on the conversation, and also reacts to touch and can adjust her feelings accordingly.
I'm no tech nerd so I can't really explain how this thing runs. Hank Green explains the robot pretty well in this SciShow episode:

All I can say is wow, this thing is both really cool and really creepy at the same time. What do you guys think? How do you feel about robots getting both more realistic and smarter? Do you think robots are close to being a part of our daily lives?
