It's a nforce 4 chipset, right? I'd just use the NV set... reference drivers, ftw (can't wait for the manufacturers to rebadge and relist them)

As to where that cord fits - look by the pins where your power and reset cables plug in. You will need to look up the mainboard manual to see what pins, but if (and that is a big if with modern mainboards) it exists, that is where you will plug that in. Just for those system beeps, etc... I don't bother with it most of the time.
