I may speak for the most of us when i say this clan is great.

But i do believe that 90% of the members are guys.

I'd like to see more girls join the clan, play tf2 and just integrate our community. Is there a way that you guys out there, that already have girlfriends...maybe you could get your girl involved in tf2 ? From what i have seen from our female players in eGO, they are all fun to play with as well as extremely talented players. Better in alot of cases than many of us guys.

The point to this is: eGO could only benefit from having more girls, so maybe guys, it is time to start recruiting some :)

Of course, they have to be eGO material!!

My wife refuses to play.

Something to do with her inability to properly operate a mouse.

I have tried and tried again to get my fiancee to play video games, so far the only game that she has throughly liked and enjoyed is Wii Sports, tennis specifically. :(

World of Warcraft, the woman loves the game.

You people get to see less of me because she keeps dragging me into a game I stopped willingly playing a year ago.

You know its probably a lot more that the majority of gamers dont have girlfriends, because

A) they wont share their computers
B) it causes problems when they are on the pc all the time and dont take any notice of their girlfriends/wives
C) the girlfriend is gaming impaired

I mean lets face it.. if we only had one pc.. I think we would be divorced by now.. cos we would rather be there than watching lame reality shows on the tv. I grew up playing games with my brothers, our first computer was a commodore 64 then we moved up to an Amiga and never looked back haha..... so its a bit different for me :P

Come to think of it, our marriage did noticeably improve when I set her up with one of my old boxes.

Mental Buga might be on to something...

If you've got little girls, convert them over to gaming while they're still young !lol . I started out gaming when I was pretty young (my dad actually brought me DOS games to keep me occupied while he worked). Operation Wolf was one of the first I can remember. (Ah, the good ole days before the ESRB...)

My four year old plays preschool games and steals my computer while I'm at work to play portal (she's not great yet, mainly because she doesn't understand the objectives, but she can move that character around and operate the mouse, man).

When TF2 came out I realized I was going to have to get Bubbles into it because it would just eat too much discretionary time we'd normally spend together. With some sea bands to help her overcome motion sickness, she tried it and became addicted. It's the first time since Area 51 in the arcade that we've played a First Person Shooter together, and as you've probably noticed, it's a huge hit. It involved a memory and video card upgrade for her computer (which now runs beautifully), and it was well worth it.

I think this community in particular attracts more women than average. Why? One thing a woman probably doesn't want to deal with is a bunch of potty-mouthed little boys who have nothing better to say than "R U HAWT?" while she's trying to play. This is a community where they generally aren't going to have to deal with that.

And yes, I'm hot. So there.

Wait... really? Motion sickness? If that's not a testament to the success of the game designers, I don't know what is.

Honestly, you could make the same argument for guys and likely support it better.

But I am a woman...in events :P

But seriously, I beleive we'd have more women if more women in general were interested in gaming.

Hmm... this could turn into the worst pickup line ever. I'm going to have to try it this weekend. :D

My wife played the single player portion of HL2, got motion sickness then lost her cookies. Thankfully not on the computer.

My young sons beg me to let them play TF2 but they are still too young. Although I will let them at times. Like when I get up to get a beer or something. :)

got my mom to play and she kept screaming

"Holy Shet"

Korean accent.... :]

Half-Life 2 and Oblivion both have that effect on me. It's the default field of view (75 degrees) that does it to me. There are console commands in both games for setting it to a larger one - I normally use 90-110. TF2 allows you to set it as one of the menu options under the Multiplayer tab, I believe.

I should post up flyers across town. Although, there might be more spam in forums, it would mean a lot more traffic!
