I was just wondering if on the jail map umbrella, the sides of the wipeout minigame where the fences and game controls are is a CT area. Some admins told me it is and one admin today told me it isint. Really confused.

According to the rules it is not a CT area unless the warden restricts access to said area.

Restricted Areas

The following are areas that we call auto-wants. Areas designed for Guards only. If you are caught in these areas, you may be shot on site as a Prisoner. If a prisoner has last request, auto-wants become void.
Armory.
Vents.
Gun caches.
Any elevated areas that are made for Guards to lookout.
Any other areas specified by the Warden.

Most players on the server automatically assume it is a CT area because it holds the controls to the game. In my opinion it should be known as a CT area. I am not 100% sure if this is correct but according to the rules it is. I hope this answered your question?

I agree with Frody, the Ts have no reason to be by the controls as they start the game and kill their teammates standing on the pillars. As a result, the T that start the game would be griefing.

Thank you for your answer, it just created confusion because the controls are there and it has an authorized personnel only sign. I agree that the t's should not be allowed near the game controls but the rules do not say so.

The left side with the controls contains a general sign that I would put near my CT areas: Danger, Authorized Personnel Only. This gives it enough justification that it is an area intended for guards only. The area on the right lacks any such signifier. The game controls being there mean little, as they can be in CT or T areas depending entirely on the map makers decision. However, on Umbrella, the controls for every other game are located in CT areas. That, combined with the sign, suggests the left side with the controls is a CT designed area, while the right side can be used for passing around.

Without the sign there, I would be conflicted on it. could swing either way.
