Server detection issue.

When I go on TF2 I only detect around 400 servers while when I go to a my friends house and play TF2 he detects about 3,000 servers. Sometimes I only detect 100 or fewer then 10 servers. Is there anyway I can fix this problem or is my internet connection to slow? I also only detect about half of Edge's servers. Thanks for the help.

Check your filters to make sure that they're cleared out.

Well, as far as eGO servers go, try pinging them each by IP and see if you can get through. (Don't worry about the port number, just the IP address) If your computer can't reach a specific IP address, then that will account for it. Any server that your computer can't reach won't show up on the list.

If you can't ping a specific server, you can try a traceroute to see if you can determine where the blockage is.

Are you using the in-game server browser? If so, you might want to try the Steam server browser to see if it works any better for you (you can get to this by right-clicking the Steam icon in your taskbar).
