Tech Help Is this GPU a good upgrade?

I currently run with an ASUS GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST.
It runs fine and it works like a charm, but I want an upgrade.
To keep my budget very closely to around $200, I found a good card: MSI GeForce GTX 960 4GD5T OC.
Is this my best option? Or is there another card that is better yet still maintains the same relative price range?
I'm looking for a card with all around better memory specifications.
  • More than 2 GB of memory.
  • Faster memory clock speeds (>6008MHz)
  • Preferably a larger memory interface. (>192-Bit)
Because these are the things that get absolutely maxed out when using these intense Minecraft shaders.

Resource pack is Realistico.
Shaderpack is SEUS v10.2 Preview 1 Ultra (Modified).

That card is indeed the best you can get for a $200 budget. Don't forget to allocate plenty of RAM to Minecraft if you're going big on the graphics.

I would definitely suggest that card. Best for its budget. I went from an ATI 7850 (sapphire 2GB edition) to an EVGA GTX 960 and the card has blown me away, best bang for the buck card you will get right now.
 
if you look hard enough around amazon you might strike gold and find a gtx 970 like i did.... but that card is really good at that price point. jump on it.
 
I'm a little late to this, but the 2GB vs 4GB, there's not much advantage between the two in performance. I can definitely confirm this for the mobile cards, and I remember reading reviews for the desktop cards saying this is the same. However, definitely a good choice for the your budget (definitely best card available). Let us know how well it works for you. Hopefully you'll be very happy with it.
 
Just bought and finished installing the graphics card today.
Did some benchmarking (3DMark - Fire Strike)
ASUS GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST: 4059
EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SSC: 6692

Also tested with my Minecraft setup (as shown in the original post) and the frame rate drastically improved from ~27 FPS (ASUS GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST) to ~54 FPS (EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SSC) -- that's double the frames!.
Then I found a shader pack that has all the same features (and more!) but is more optimized. The new frame rate I have while playing is ~60 FPS. (Thanks Continuum Shader!)

All tests were done on 1920x1080 resolution.
CPU is an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4750 @ 3.20GHz (4 Cores)

This card was well worth the price -- I don't think I'll need another one any time soon!
