Legend Of Zelda Movie!

It's really low budget, and the actors are horrible. My zelda-obsessed friend is going to be quite mad at this.

There is no way that is real.

It was launched on April 1st.... The in cinema date is April 1st 2009... Who puts a trailer out a year in advance? Only a film with MASSIVE appeal would do that!

It lists IGN in the end credits... I very much doubt a Game website is going to be helping to finance a film...

Plus.... look how stupid he looks in the Link outfit... Nobody in their right mind (especially Nintendo who would be wanting to protect the franchise) you allow the hero if the film to look that stupid!

Yes it is fake, it was an april fools joke. But, yes they do have initial stage plans for real films of both Metroid and Zelda.

Yeah, I know it was an April Fool's joke but man... A lot of haters here. Has Uwe Boll just completely destroyed all hope for a quality video game-based movie?

I'm a die-hard fan of bad movies. I love to watch them again and again, because it's my belief that even the worst movies have something good about them that you can enjoy, even if it's just the camp value or the attempt at high production values.

Uwe Boll makes movies that are so bad, I have little to no desire to see them. I almost walked out on DOOM because it was just so bad.

Video game movies are crap. I've not seen a good one yet. Oh, and to be fair, I've not seen a good video game that was based on a movie. I think the gaming industry is too new, and nobody has emerged who can do it right yet.

I'm hoping that if the Metal Gear Solid movie does get made that (a) David Hayter has a hand in writing, if not acting in it, and (b) that it doesn't suck.

On a slightly related note, how do you think Raul Julia's family feels about Street Fighter being his last movie. Ick.

If that "version" of the movie was release in full i'd buy it :P
and if the came out with a real one i'd buy that one too, then if anyone asked to borrow it i'd lend out that fake on...
people keep "borrowing" my dvds and not returning the! >:(

I have to agree with you on all counts Flippy. I just refuse to give up hope though! By god, one day there will be a video game movie worth watching! Look how long we had to wait for a comic book movie that was worth watching! After years of sadness and dissapointment along comes Brian Singer and Sam Raimey to the rescue. I have to believe that it can be done with games too.

On a related note...can you believe that I actually took a date to the Super Mario movie when it was in theaters? Yeah...that was a mistake.
