Comes up and asks you for help.

Don't just sit there and not listen. If you are playing in the morning and you notice the server you are playing on is full and we have 6 servers that arn't full, get your tail end in those other servers and freaking fill them.

Do you want free admin?
Do you want free servers?
Do you want to get promoted?

Well if the damn console message asks for help filling a server its either a council member (most likely me) or an Advisor is asking for assistance.

So just an FYI, YOU ARE BEING WATCHED. They don't call me big brother for nothing.

If some of you are so worried about being promoted. This would be a BIG OPPORTUNITY To help your fellow clan mates. If you just flat out don't give a crap. Then i guess your going to be an e for a verrrrrrrrrrrrrry loooooonnnng time.

Also another thing. If the console message says can you help. and you say no. I don't want to, or why do i have to, i dont' like that map, or just flat out whining, don't expect to be in the server for very long. I will kick you for being disrespectful. Don't think i wont do it, because i will. ask some of the e's around here.

In conclusion BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING.

Aside from the fact that Big Brother Garden Grove (BBGG?) and others are watching, it's the right thing to do. When the servers are at or near capacity, it's one thing to be picky and go to your favorite map. When you're needed to help seed a server, however, it's your duty to the eGO community, of which you are a part, to do what you can to help.

Just remember ...

It's true. e's always ask, "How do I get promoted?" and we always say, "By not asking." Well this is one of those times where we are telling you "THIS is how you get promoted." Don't think that your efforts won't be noticed, because we have eyes everywhere and they will be.

Errr... I didn't know i was supposed to *reply* to the console message, i just went about trying to invite people in to the server ^^;; well, now I know! :D Thanks GardenGrove!

I didn't get any of those messages, but maybe that's because I don't really play in the morning I guess (if not, I don't know I get them, how can I know?)

Oh yeah, always talk back to the console. Gotta validate their existence ya know.

Ignore them too long and they'll get an inferiority complex.

And then there are all the bills for therapy.

Oye.

I don't think it's as important to reply as it is to just help fill the server. That's much more important.

i'd love to help populate a server but i'm in school :(

Obviously, if you're unable to do so, then you're unable to do so. There is a distinction here between "want" and "able" that's important. I've been asked to go help fill servers and had to decline because I was just about to go feed my kids dinner, or the wife wanted me to "get off of the computer for a while, honey," and that's okay. It's real life, and we understand that.

The key here is that it's exceptionally poor form to decline to fill a server because you don't like that map (I don't care for Convoy and am really tired of Gravelpit, but I'm there if needed) or because you've got some good stats and don't want to screw up your winning streak. That's considered rather unfriendly to the community, and makes administrators feel like crying on the inside clowns.

does any one have a spray that show how full all the servers are coz i would like it if they do !! so then I can show other that they need to go to other server and also do that my self

Just drop out. Problem solved! I'm just kidding i'll punch you in the throat if you drop out of school. RL always comes before gaming!

I'll be home in half an hour WOOT! I'll be happy to join any server that needs me, thank goodness warpath is doing good i don't like it when i have to join that one... but i do it anyways :)
*P.S. convoy rocks, thank you, good day, i said good day*

I didn't see the console messages this morning while I was in there, if/when I see them I'll make sure to take notice.

I'm not mad at anyone. Trust me its ok if you can't fill a server in the morning due to real life stuff. I don't care about that. the thing i care about is, When i'm told flat out no, or i don't want to. . . is a little rude in my eyes. This didn't happen today. I'm just saying in general. Trust me we look for these things in admins.

heres an example. . .

2 e's are asked to fill a server, 1 e tells me no. the other just leaves and goes to that server.

Say these two e's get promoted.

I ask them to help me ADMIN a server (not fill it). And the one that told me no before. Says "no i don't like that map" or "no i don't feel like it." and on the other hand the other eG is very helpful and is willing to do anything to help. Who's going to get promoted faster?

The person who doesn't care ?
Or the person who cares and is willing to help out?

I'm not using this as a promotion tool. . But it kinda shows who is willing and not willing to help out. So it does play some what of a part in promotions.

But if you ask me how can i help out. Well here are some ways you can help out.

lolz the banner with big brother watching you is creepy xD ill be sure you keep that in mind thought

That was actually the result of doing a search on "propaganda posters" in the google images search. I'm fascinated by the style of propaganda posters, so I occasionally search for them. Plus, I'm wanting to use that look and feel for a project I'm working on, so this seemed like a natural opportunity to use one.

I've been trying to help out as such, specially when an 'admin' needs to be present. Plus, I like to help out with Warpath but if I get a message to go to Gravel Pit or something, I tell my team I got to go and leave for that server.

On helping fill servers, it's just a matter of being clan. Those servers are our life blood and the key to not needing donations to pay for them. If we can keep them full, we can have short advertisements on them and on our home page that can generate sufficient interest for sponsors to pay for the upkeep of this clan. Membership is always free, and donations will always be welcome, but how about never having to worry about losing a server due to financial stress?

If you're on server playing, always be willing to go where you're needed. It's just a clan duty you have to be ready for, and you'll find you can have fun on any map.

As for talking with console, feel free. Normally anyone running console is going to be able to see your typed chat. Even if we can't be in game just then, we absolutely have a blast interacting with you. We'll usually keep it very professional with pubs on server, but during clan events, there may be no holds barred silliness.

I thought I was the only one who did that! :D Seriously though, I find it shocking that anyone would say no to helping out on a server. We have the best TF2 servers out there and when they aren't full, then someone out there is not having as much fun as they could be. !sad
