Id Like to add to this post that nothing irritates me more than an empty server. The only rank that Im concerned with is the rank in which our servers hold. I dont know about you guys, but I like being able to tout that we have all of our servers in the top 100 globally. If the servers are empty, we cant do that. I am asking each and every one of you to help us fill these bad boys up, Ranger or not. You dont have to be a ranger to help fill the servers.
Sit back and ask yourself why you joined eGO in the first place. Did you do it because the servers were always empty and we were disorganized? Of course not. Our servers are full because our members and our regulars make it that way.
Once again, I am asking each and every one of you that is able to make your best effort to help with the servers. It doesnt take long if we have a lot of people.
BTW, this message isnt just pointed at e's. This is pointed at eG's and eGO's as well. Everyone will be held accountable for their actions.

I admit, yesterday i saw the console messages for the first time in -game ( that is outside a scrim). At first i wasnt too sure what to do... but when console asked a second time a few minutes later, i changed server. I will know next time and you can count on me to help out.

Console is a real live person of Advisor or Council rank, for those who are curious. We're usually sober while running console, but no guarantees.

I actually didnt believe it to be an AI and I am sure others didnt either hehe 
However good to know your usually sober on console, drunk monkeys prolly spend too much time swinging from the light fixtures than typing anything coherent

This was asked in a another thread some time ago; could the person using rcon to message the server identify themselves? Not that it makes a difference with the message, no matter who it is I'll help out - I think it's a matter of common courtesy.

I also think it's important that we tell you all exactly WHY we ask for help filling the servers. There are a few reasons.
1. Sponsorship. It costs a LOT of money to do what eGO has done and is still doing. We survive off of donations from members, and now we have 1 sponsor and are hoping to get more. In order for that to happen, we have to be able to show them that we have servers that are well-populated, and at all times of the day. We could have potential sponsors looking at our servers at any time. We'd like them to see them full. By us asking you to help fill them, you are actually helping to ensure that eGO doesn't go anywhere. And most times when we put out that call to fill a server, it fills in 10-20 minutes. Sometimes less. THEN you can leave that map you might dislike and go back to 2fort.
2. Server rankings. This ties in with reason #1. This is not that we are vain and just want to be "popular" but it helps us with yet one more reason why a sponsor would like to work with us. If our servers are at the top of the rankings, the potential sponsors will be impressed and more likely to work with us. And as TheBigHerm said, wouldn't it be cool to be at the top?

Last but not least, 3. Membership. Never forget that the whole reason eGO was founded in the first place was to HAVE FUN. Not only that, but to provide a great place for others to meet and do the same. When we fill servers people notice and come check us out. Heck, that's how I got here in the first place. I saw a 2fort server with a great ping, but it was full almost ALL the time. I knew this was something I needed to check out.
So, we don't want you thinking this is all about money, because it's NOT. NOT AT ALL. But, if we don't pay the electric bill, our lights get turned off

I saw the message for the first time this morning. However it came at a bad time since I was just about to get off and do something else. So I hope you don't think I just ran away without paying any attention at all. I suppose I could have responded and told console that I was leaving. Oh well... Next time I will know what is going on.

Only time I've not immediately acted on the console's prompting was when it asked me to switch to 2Fort Gamerail about 10 minutes after I left that server to try and fill Gravel Pit with a few friends.
I responded and said that I'd head back over there at the end of our round, which was pretty quick. We'd been doing an all-melee match to pass the time, and a few people had finally joined during that round, so I wished them good luck and went back to 2fort. I don't know how the server emptied out that fast, it was full when we left, but there were only a couple of eGOs in it when we got there (I think one was mop).

Everyone cannot be everywhere at one time. It's understood. Real life comes first. But those of you, playing, when you see those messages . . . please understand we NEED you. Let's keep this train a rollin! That's what Garden meant. eGO for the win
