I love having a 24/7 of the maps we love, but at the same time I really get bored just playing the same great maps over and over. I was wondering if there is any way we can have a server like our old one that actually has a cycle of a bunch of different maps. It makes it a little more fun when you change the scenery. Maybe it's just me, but I wanted to see what u guys and gals think?
Is it Possible to not have a 24/7 server?

Well, if you get sick of one map, we have 7 other servers playing different maps to choose from.

We have tried rotation servers in the past and it is very difficult to maintain the population. It'll fill up for Dustbowl, but empty for 2Fort because most of the people wanted to play dustbowl. Then it'll finally fill up for 2Fort and the map will switch again.

Yea I was glad when we had a Rotation server but I saw it was empty most of the time.
I think a custom server would be nice though

If we can find a custom map or set of maps that will stay full, that might work. The key is keeping it full. If it works, we'll slap up a map of Disneyland.
Actually, can anybody make on of those? The snipers might enjoy the monorail too much. I digress.
If you see a map you like, and notice it's full all the time on someone else's server, there's no reason not to try it.

you should get a custom kettle server like u had in dod
like u had in dodYa, I get what your saying about the server not being full on a rotation server, but at the same time I've played on a couple that are full all the time. One thing the server needs though is a votemap at the end of every round. That way majority wins and we therefore keep the higher end. Thanks for everyones ones feedback though, it's just a suggestion im throwing out there.

How about a jump map? Those are full quite a lot. Also, Mach4 is really popular, along with lazytown. And yes, a vote system would be really nice., a

A jump map doesn't appeal to a lot of players. Any map we play must have broad appeal.

Having 7 other servers to choose from though, means having to change the players u were just playing with, which can be a bummer. Then you go play on the other server just to change it up, then the same thing happens, your ready to change it up or atleast I am. If we had one server with a vote system with all the big servers and some custom servers, I think population would be fine. I just enjoy playing with a fun group of people and having a change of scenery, I guess that's why I like dustbowl, because there are 3 different levels. Anyhow maybe I'll just do a poll and see what the results look like. Sound good?
