What do you guys think of this. Everytime I log into Pop Maps or Siege, there is usually one to three guys dominating the Little Bird or Attack Helicopter and ruining everyone's game. They usually end the match with scores in the nature of 120 - 3. I'm mostly looking at these 'clans' that just come on and absolutely dominate these vehicles.

I was actually thinking about this earlier, as soon as I saw your post, I was like "you read my mind!"!

Vehicle hoarding IS a problem, I totally agree with you, but honestly I don't know exactly what should be our policy towards it (if any policy at all). In fact, personally I would lean towards not making a policy on the issue. Here's why.... If DICE believed it would be a problem, they would create an automatic "additional delay" for the previous occupant of a vehicle, so they wouldn't be able to get in the same vehicle again immediately (and give someone else a chance). Back in the day, the guy with the fastest computer / fastest SSD drive, would spawn into the server first and take whatever vehicle they wanted. Then they changed it with the "Ready" button, and the countdown timer. They could have very easily changed it for this too. The fact that they didn't says something.

I can assure you that if we create a policy on this and its not very well thought out, we will piss off a LOT of players.

Very glad you brought it up, it would be nice if someone could think of a creative solution, that wouldn't create much backlash.

Has anyone tried talking to the over achiever? Ask them to maybe let some one else fly or drive? and if that fails, spawn in the vehicle your self and break their cycle, do this a few times and they may mellow out some.
If you have several people complaining and it is legit, again ask the offender to take a chill or to let another player have a chance at it, they refuse, WARN them for server disruption and I should hope that would solve the issue if not KICK the offender for server disruption

Creating a rule against vehicle hoarding would be a very slippery slope. I will not deny I am almost always in the heli on the Siege server. The reason I am able to get the vehicle is because I wait for it which most players don't have the patience to do. Also the players that spawn and walk to the location where the heli spawns and hold E to enter will get it every time before someone selecting the vehicle from the spawn screen and clicking deploy with the heli selected. The reason I and many others can stay in the heli and rack up high scores is usually because there is no worthy opposing attack heli and also no MAA or jets on Siege However, there are many other options such as the boat, stinger teams, trans heli team, and even tanks. The fact is I would love a rule not not allow stingers, IGLAs, or AA mines, but that would not be fair to anyone else. That being said HHA (Human Heli Aimbot) is a banned clan, I have personally removed a number of them in the past. Also what Beemer said is correct. I often get in a heli and it's obvious that two players were using it and will tell me to get out, and hold the heli hostage at spawn. This falls under team grief or server disruption and is not allowed. The vehicles are first come first serve, if they can't abide by that then W/K/B.

I do agree that is a slippery slope/grey area, but last night on Flood Zone, I spawned in the Attack Boat with a loadout catering specifically to anti-air because we had such a player in the little bird. When a full belt from the burst cannon AND a passive radar missile does not kill a Little Bird I tend to get a little irritated

Use the TV missile for AA it take some practice, but is very effective.

I agree with a lot of what everyone above has said. Back in my bf3 days I played with/for an overly potent and quite literally dominant vehicle minded group of people. Honestly, there were less than a handful of clans who could ever give us a run for our money during our peak hours of playing. We always heard complaints and rift-raft from the outside community. I am under the personal belief that anything is overpowered when in the right hands against its desired foe. People always complain about Wize and groan he is a "sniper noob" when I play with him on metro but you don't see anyone else dominating at what he does. He is simply skilled in that area. If you don't believe me, check his latest video posted in these forums. Likewise, people often complain of an overpowered Helicopter tandem who work well together and run a map. Most of said people are, quite frankly, people who are no where near capable of the same outcome when in the shoes of the accused. And because they can't match the production of one said player, it is all of a sudden a glitch, exploit or downright unfair for someone other than themselves to singlehandedly dominate a game. Because of the lack of teamwork and cooperation on most bf4 servers, solo dominance is a near inevitable outcome. bf4 is primarily a team-based game. Its meant to have full squads and full teams operating every piece of equipment available to truly create balance in a server. If I fly and there are no tanks on the ground then the aa almost always acts as a nightmare for the next hour of my personal game-play. Just like someone mentioned above, if someone can't stand the dominance of one player, get in a jet and shoot them down. It is, after all, above the heli on the bf4 food chain. If you do not have that capability or its on a map with no jet, then grab the opposing heli and beat them at their own game. If that doesn't work, get a stinger. And so on... No one wants to endure the grunt work of equalizing highly skilled gamer's. They just want to post a remark and label a certain style of game play as cheap or unfair. Its the PC (politically correct) police of gaming, and its getting out of control.

this sums it up pretty much. if there are ppl getting alot of kills in vehicles in a legitimate way, get a bunch of ppl to take them out. get your squad to go anti air, split up over the map so the heli has no room to hide after using countermeasures.

helis and AA are part of the game. the developer wants you to use both. no need to add a rule for this.

Well in all honesty, almost every time I am on pop maps and there is a team completely dominating, it's because there are 2 or 3 players from the same clan hoarding vehicles. This all is fixable quite easily actually by just asking them to split up as clan stacking is frowned upon. If they refuse and it starts becoming disruptive, w/k/b is what I've seen used in the past.

I wouldn't call 2-3 players clan stacking. I didn't know working as cohesive squad equals clan stacking, and I hope you you not admining that way just because you guys are getting your butts whooped.

Basically you wanna punish people that are good? They are first come first serve. Putting a rule that wouldn't let them play the way they want too would hurt us. To many rules you scare people off.
If you wanna do this then take guns from beeps and crank. As they are very good let them only knife.

This is definitely making me sweat, because everyone knows that when beg gets into a vehicle, he literally controls the map! XD

I honestly dont belive 2 -3 players is considered clan stacking, i would never kick or ban anyone with the sole belief that two players were in a two-player vehicle working together. Thats just completely unjust.

If someone was holding the heli, away from others then sure... that is considered server disruption , w/k/b will apply... But solely kicking legitimate players playing legit/teamplay vehicles just for doing good? I hope i dont run into you in Shanghai :scared:

Dont see how i should be punished for playing with a clanmate in a two-seater vehicle... isnt it obvious that two people working together is for the sole purpose of the vehicle... why it was designed to be a two-seater?

Do we not allow people to play with their friends? So what if there is a clan of 3, 5 or 10 people from the same clan on the same team. Surely this is not a legit offense to play with your clan-mates in one of our servers (no matter the number of clan-mates that may be)?! Why punish people for choosing to play the game the way it was designed to be played?

A squad of 4 players can dominate a game. What about the whole enemy team?

Bottomline: TEAMWORK BEATS ANYTHING.

Well I can see its apparent everything I said was taken out of context.

To clarify, playing with friends and with clanmates(i/e if you were in another clan) is absolutely fine and awesome. WHAT I AM REFERRING TO IS PROFESSIONAL GAMING CLANS having a couple of their members on the same time just wrecking everyone because this is all they do all dang day, play bf professionally!

I still don't think I agree with your recanted statement. Whether it is a professional gaming clan or a group of guys enjoying their night off, the fact remains that you are punishing players for being skilled at their craft. I would label stacking teams as being an admin in a particular server and physically moving players so that all good/ranked players are on one team and the lower ranked players are on the other. Just because you join in to play with your regular people doesn't define you to be stacking teams. I will reiterate, why should a group of individuals be punished or prohibited from playing with their normal group of people because they are more skilled than the rest of the players in the server?

Hello Everyone,

We can only have in place the current rules for vehicles to include no griefing, no spawn camping, and no firing into uncaps. We cannot make a rule for constantly using vehicles. Vehicles are first come first serve. Some click on the icons and patiently wait or wait for them constantly in spawn. Now if your in a vehicle and a team mate crashes it so he can play with his buddy then that is griefing. Also if a player is constantly ditching vehicles with players in it getting them killed is griefing. Players in vehicles cant sit in redzones and must move into the play areas. Vehicles cant enter or fire into uncaps unless fired upon first. Vehicles engaged in battle can retreat however they can also be chased and shot at since already being engaged. Tanks can only get to the redline before being stopped anyhow but choppers can go further. Choppers can only attack another chopper once engaged and if escaping to base can still be shot. The shooting helo can take them down and leave the area. They cannot kill the helo and hover at the base. On the other question we do not allow clan stacking to where it is taking over a server. If one team is running the map and off balancing ticket or player counts that is not allowed. We allow squads and teams to play together as much as possible. Sometimes we can switch those players to equal the tickets or team skills and extend the game play.
