In all honestly, if you have Windows 8 or 8.1, you're better off upgrading. Windows 8 sucks.

Upgraded from 7 to 10 last summer. Performance is great, turned off all the junk and I'm very happy. No bugs, no issues.

I never understood y ppl hate windows 8 soo much. Start menu could be brought back and that metro crap could be hidden. Windows 10 is not that evil... Im sure you can play around with the settings. I have cortana disabled on my laptop just as precaution. On the desktop i dont care too much its mainly used just for gaming.

I'm running it on 3 boxes at home and 2 tablets, a desktop, and laptop at work. All are running great. I think the biggest surprise is when I grabbed an old desktop (c2d, 4gb ram) to test at work and it definable seems to be optimized for older hardware. It does take some tweaking, but its one hell of an OS.

I'm fine with keeping my computer free of backdoors, a start menu filled with ads, and random breakage.

I have upgraded from 7 to 10 and I love it.

I have done the same and love windows 10 so far.

Those that are having issues with it, haven't tweaked their settings yet to allow it to run efficiently.

I honestly love Win10, it has some issues, but nothing that would make me want to go back to Win7 or Win8.1

I'm still biased.

First time using Windows 10 was just full of driver incompatibility. After that, I learned about Cortana. After that, I uninstalled Windows 10 by forcefully formatting because it wouldn't let me go back to 7 by downgrading.

How old was your computer ric o.o thats cray. It somehow installed on my old laptop that runs DoDs at 21FPS.
