I want to start playing in the Cal league. I think our players are good enough and who knows, maybe we could catch the eye of some sponsors or something. They have a 6vs6 league and an 8vs8 league. Maybe the e's could have a team, along with the eG's and eGO's.

We do not run a cal team because we are non-competitive. We have too many awesome players just to pick out a few.

For eGO, this would be a logistical nightmare, and it's not something we're prepared to tackle at this time. I like the idea, in theory, of an eGO CAL team, but it's just not in the cards for this go-round.

there was a post somewhere in the general section of the forums that was locked regarding who to pm to get into the cal team..tho now yall say you dont compete so im not sure if that was another site or not

We actually had a non-official CAL league tryouts earlier. I am/was on the team. However, since it was of course, unofficial, and Council did not verify it, as well of the fact that it caused a lot of uproar from someone who missed it, we couldn't carry the eGO name.

Since then, it seems like we have decided to just stop competing in it.

I personally think we are ready to have one NEXT time around, if Council is actually the ones who grant permission of it, but like CS:S and DoD, we need to prove that we are as mature, because that is what really what played a factor in why we didn't go for it this season, along with the fact it was a spur-of-the-moment thing.

If so, we may need a few CAL teams here. I can tell you we are rich in skill, but 1 or 2 may not cut it.

Due to the fact that some one went out on his own and bought a server WITHOUT Consulting a council member first. Made us have to stop the cal team for the time being.

We the council have to discuss this. . . We may or may not want to get involved with cal. Due to the atmosphere of the cal leagues. Peoples attitudes are different cal leagues. I just don't want our members start acting like them.

In the next Council meeting i will bring this up.

Well it looks like some are for a team, and some are against, I didn't know this clan had a team in the past. Maybe now that you have been through the experience, it will be easier to navigate the cal team(s). I really like the idea of eGO competing in TF2. A prerequisite for joining this team is a high level of maturity, so I wouldn't deem that an issue. And like booster said, we are "rich in skill." Why deprive other teams of our talent? ^_^

[/quote1207350379]Well, the "clan" didn't exactly have a team, just members of the clan. :P

But yes, after playing one match filling in with another team a little was pretty neat (although we got destroyed). But yes, if everything can work right and professionally, I don't see why not, but we'll let council decide. ;)

We can't do it right now anyways, due to the fact that the CAL season just got underway and won't be over for awhile. We would have to wait for the next season to start a team up. I don't know who would lead the team, but my guess would be TheBigHerm, as I think I remember him wanting to wait until after this first CAL season was over and then bring it up before Season 2 to see if we could get a team together. That way there would be more time to plan it and get things going. The last attempt at making a team was a rush job that just created problems. MUCH more time would be needed to prepare a team and organize everything. Another thing that hinders the process is the fact that some people won't be on the team that really think they should be, and it could offend some people. It isn't worth it to have members that are butting heads with you over something that eGO doesn't necessarily represent, which is competitive gaming. We will see what happens, as there is PLENTY of time to go over the subject, since the next CAL season doesn't start for several months. All up to council on this.
