Battlefield Division BF on MAC

Just noticed this but I am unable to install BF on my mac, at least thats what I think. Is this game not available on it?

Battlefield 4 only runs on Windows OS. You might want to try using bootcamp to get it to work.

Sadly the only way to game on a mac that I know of

Man.. I have both Vietnam and BF 2 and cannot play it. Well I may break down and build a system one day.

Wonder why they haven't made it across all platforms.

Battlefield is known for high end graphics, not many Mac's are geared to handle it. Slowly more developers are preparing their games for Mac's, but it's not an operating system or machine that was ever really designed for such a thing.

Also some games are ports from Xbox/PS3, and aren't optimized well enough to run on a Mac.

DICE had a hard enough time getting it to work on PC. I can only imagine how jacked up the launch would have been on Mac. :facewall::facewall::facewall:

Well I mean, the old Mac Pro's shipped with a Radeon 5770 (which at the time was a great card), but soon became outdated of course. I don't think they have ever once been intended to game.

On the other hand, I have a MacBook Pro and have played Source Games, EVE Online, and some Diablo without any issue and relatively enjoyed it. I wouldn't really want to do it all the time but it does handle it really well

Well I will say this about MAC.. I've been able to play any games with great results. FPS runs 180+ on all the games I play. Never had any issues with performance.

I'm not trying to start a MAC vs PC war or anything, but not that many people have MACs and in turn not many games are released for them. Not to say this can't or wont change in the future.

It's something that's slowly evolving, especially with Steam trying to get on board with Mac/Linux now. Definitely don't want to start an OS war here.
