[eGo] World.

Allies is always harder in Avalanche, and we have to keep apartments clean in order to: 1. jump on mid, 2. we could shoot mid, church, arch, v crack double windows and axis 2nd flag, almost anywhere except axis first flag. 3. stop axis from shooting us from apt when we cap mid, 4. and lastly apt is directly connected to our 1st flag and looking at our 2nd flag, when axis has control of apt we have no choice excepting going mid or church directly, which is a stupid idea, where axis just need to defend the allie 2nd flag/fake door area. With the help of the axis MG, how hard is that?

As allies, having apt is like winning the 2/3 of the game. Yet, [eGo] World keep telling us to go mid with axis all over apts. Saying my opinion is non-sense. I dun know what to say to you with in game voice chat, because its just too much to say and you sounded like someone that knows everything and wouldn't listen.

I dun care how long you have been playing this game, if you ever get a chance to look at my status in your server. I am one of the top player, and one of the best sniper in killing number, kill/dead ratio, and top caps. My score is flawless and this map is already in my brain for too long that I can walk across it with my screen closed. Yet you still wanna tell us to go mid without having apt. Almost 2/3 of our team is dead from apt axis. Real nice strategy and thinking.

If you are here feel free to reply.

lol...dude play like i play just go on no camping and u know what dont forget the church

Haha, You're right on some points !
I always get stressed when people try to run mid without thinking. Without controlling apt you can't do anything.

For example, If you get people in churce ( not neccesary ) you can get them to tell when someone goes in aps, If there's a well experianced sniper in top apt he can shoot sniper window/Crack and bridge ( aka Arch ) and balcony without getting killed to often. Most of times when i'm in top apt I get shot in the back... So if you get 1 on top churce to give info, 1 guy defending sniper on stairs, And let the sniper do all peekshots/info on arch and crack. especially the mg's on balcony or mid. If the sniper is able to keep the mg's down your team got the best chance of getting in mid without being sprayed instantly.
After that it's up to your team to smoke out arch and take over winecellar and together attack their first flag from 2 sides.
Meanwhile the sniper can check crack/double widows, while the other sniper takes top churce watching their second. So that your team has the opportunity to move up to arch and wine cellar safely to continue the attack on their first.

No way you can lose the game then, In my example I didn't even named the mg's which can be really helpfull to.

You need the church to take the middle. Having only the apartments you can only stalemate the game. Strand is the better example because you start on the beach. Without controlling a connecting corridor to the other side you can only control half the map.

Yes, apartments are important, but they are very easy to take and will always be a back and forth with axis. If you strike church and push to wine cellar it forces the axis to shift from apartments to defend that side, otherwise you are basically stuck in a game of tug of war.

Allie's have to take axis second flag first then hold it, with a mg on their balcony they control the whole game from that balcony, with the second it is easier and saver to take the mid. Trust me been playing a longggg time.

Not true, From Appartments you can kill top/chruce window easy, Also lower appartments can do that, Just an mg on the sandbank in alley from 1th to 2th can defend chruce exit. Chruce is not as important, Only appartments is the key to victory. Losing appartments means losing mid/second and maybe first, because they have way more exit points, They can jump out top appartments and lowerappartments, front exit and higher window on 1th. Jumping out of chruce will leave you with almost no health left to fight.

hey!!.. I am the best sniper in dod history.. don't you forget it. ;) London is the second best player. :)

I've killed you many times before Sniper, You might end second :$ <3

Balcony is easy to kill with peekshot from Us second, or peekshot on top appartments crack. you can preaim en shot them before they even have a chance to fire.
Best thing would be if the sniper takes the first shot of the game instead of people running to mid/chruce and getting shot. After the sniper shot their balcony they can all savely cross if the snipers get their attention on crack/double window untill mg is back.. then theres a little chance of losing people at the start of the game. Might be the best option to move up to top appartments after mg balcony is down, like I said in my last message

I find the "kill your enemy" approach to be the best way to attack. It's simple and easy to remember.

ok, listen up guys. you are all wrong..wrong I tell ya. if you're allies and you have the best sniper in dod history on your side (Me) you have to get church and secure it, then get their second as London (second best player in dod history) has stated. that is after you clear out the apartments of course..then I can sniper them from top of church overlooking their second flag and V crack.we can have our other sniper up in yellow top watching archway area and calling them out, on how many has made it past his sniper.. ready for me to no scope them then It will be easier to get middle and put pressure on their first by running in wine cellar and first and across archway.
hardcore.. you never kill me you bedtime story teller :P but follow my plan and you all will be sure to win...but if I am axis.. then abort plan. you have absolutely no hope !! .

Allies go mid on avalanche

Ava is and has always been a nade map. Any map where u can start priming a nade a few seconds after spawning and kill enemies who are also just spawning is a nade map. The best thing you can do on this map is rush and nade. One of the main reasons to go mid is because it is 2 times faster to go mid and nade than to go apts and nade, not that many players ever nade from apts anyway. So going mid and dying at least allows a player to use 2 times as many nades as apts. There could easily be 32 nades going of at mid every minute by allies, assuming it takes 30 secs to spawn, use 2 nades, and repeat. The old ava servers back in the day where a lot like that.

You can clear mid with a few nades and smokes, and from there you can hold the axis 2nd and cut off apartments. Continuing to hold mid you can cut off church and nade the last flag to win. Many players simply get overwhelmed at first by all the nades and gunfire at the mid corner. They never learn to use nades or smoke to move up mid. Instead they make the mistake of taking the long flanking route of apts which often is a total waste.

Leaving no one going mid allows the enemy team to crush your last 2 flags and flank the players who went apartments. This point is never addressed by any of the players who insist on going apts. An ideal composition would be 3 church, 10 mid, 3 apts. I have seen teams using this balance win 15-20 rounds in a row on Allies many, many times over the years. I have never seen even close to such a success rate to the teams who push with half or more of their players to the apts. The apts teamd often have a losing win to loss ratio.

Anyone sniping from a window on this map should really consider using a class that can move up and help the team with flags. All of the best snipers to play this map, and there have been very few, go up the middle and do not go apts or church. By going mid they can clear all the important sniper locations including back left mid near arch, cellar door, v crack, double windows, and balcony. These snipers can really help the team move up, and sometimes a rifle is better to them for mobility.

the ranking system that eGo uses for DOD:S is terrible. It makes is easy to get a good rank from camping and not ever helping your team move up. I have literally seen so many times some of the "top-ranked" players here sitting in windows and hiding in their spawn area so they don't lose rank while their team loses over and over. They won't even try to help them. Why have a ranking system that rewards camping and letting your team lose? Maybe you guys should try one that encourages teamwork? Or just get rid of the current system or alter it.

jih2 is the highest ranked player for instance.

For years he sat in the allied spawn with a machine gun to get that. Hurting his team by sitting in spawn and never moving up. Even London knows it's bad to camp in your own team's spawn. And that's how you guys got your "top-ranked" players? ahahhahahaaaaaa but seriously it's sad. I asked that guy to help out and move up about 1000 times over the years i've been in eGo. He has never even responded to me. I don't think he speaks English well but pretty sure he still knows what i'm asking.

Not very nice to trash talk other players, this is and always has been about fun. It's just a game.

I only go apartments on allies, sometimes mid, but usually drop from yellow and go into cellar, or axis second to cellar. Taking the axis second from apartments has always worked better for me. Axis owns the church, there's no real reason to go after it. I have sat in the church with an MG 42 on axis and killed every person who entered, getting over a 20 kill streak and my team still lost. Being able to go over arch into cellar is nice, but not really needed. It's hard for allies to hold church, as they enter from the bottom and axis enter from the top. I rarely go mid on either team (almost never on allies), unless my team already has it controlled with MG over arch or over our second. It's a death trap.

you always need church if you want God blessing =D

from church u can kill orange, balcony, top yellow, nade alies 1st, nade alies 2nd and keep mid control

really dunno why people forget church, but better for me, i can stay church for free making my surprises :P

I am glad you agree with my military plan stats breaker. that is exactly why I say.. protect sniper up top and then you can clear appartments. .

Trashing admin by another admin is done in admin private chat, this is not acceptable by me and I am surprised leadership allowed this.
Lighten up and play for fun and don"t get carried away, dods. it is not RL just a game. if you get so worked up about a game your heading for health troubles.
Doctor daddy has spoken.
I would remind all players that you can mute any other player in options, I do use this myself.
Kiwi thanks for your support I will transfer the money to your account later.

I would agree with you here provided that you are not being shot at from Arch, Cellar, V-Crack, Sniper windows, church high, church low, church entrance, not naded (OH SO NOT LIKELY). At the beginning of the round, as a sniper you can get to viewing the axis 2nd before the MG setup. But mid-game, when they have an established MG and sniper positions, you have to clear from left to right, church, arch, cellar, v-crack, sniper windows and THEN axis 2nd. Alternate strategies for taking out the 2nd MG are more consistent IMO.

And then locking down that axis 2nd perch with a 30 cal/ sniper will cinch the probable win for allied (as london referenced).

As for the OP, yeah it is freaking hard as allied, the entire map seemingly funnels into allied spawn (for nades). And taking and KEEPING middle is also difficult without the proper support from apartments. Just think of being on closed-in allied team as a great challenge of skill!
