Control vertical and horizontal - was a line from a really old TV show (60s) that they remade (in the 90s?) called "The Outer Limits" - kinda like the Twilight Zone.

Televisions used to have knobs that needed to be manually adjusted to "tune in" a picture. One was vertical, and one was horizontal.

I used to watch the remake in the 90s (or was it 80s?) though and will forever associate "control" with vertical and horizontal. This probably makes even less sense now... It might be better if I didn't quote obscure cultural references from the 60's/90s'. :lol:
