One of the hardest choices you make in TF2 is as an engi choosing what you save
A spy saps your stuff you get the spy but now you only have time to save one which do you save!

I save the sentry gun because that takes the most metal and takes the longest to completely build. I can easily rebuild a dispenser, entrance, or exit afterwards. but of course the next priority is a dispenser if i can't save the sentry in time.

If the spy comes in with his whole team behind him, then i'll pick the Sentry over the Disp. If its just the Spy, then i'll ignore the Sentry and save the Disp. If im close to the respawn, then it doesnt really matter since i can rebuild both in about a minute anyway. xD

Depends.

If there are many sentries patrolling the area, or if I have less than 100 metal I save the dispenser. If I have enough metal and there aren't any sentries around, I save the sentry.

Dispenser mainly because I could be too far away to get metal and dispenser would be full so it would be pretty easier to rebuild the sentry gun than having to wait 2 minutes for your dispenser to fill up

That will never be the case. If you have enough time to save dispenser, you should have enough time to save level 3 sentry. It takes about twice longer to destroy the level 3 sg than dispenser. So my answer is to save the both. :P

i would say sentry because of the fact that sometimes spys sap then stab...well if you kill the sapper then the spy dies :)

sentry, then you pick up the weapon the spy dropped and build a new dispenser with the metal it gives you.

Purple, as usual, you awe us with your Engie prowess. I'd always saved the Sentry, since I try to stay at max metal, so I can just quickly toss up a new dispenser. I also like it when the sentry kills the spy as he raises his treacherous knife to strike...

If the dispencer is full ill save the dispencer if its not and i have a lvl 3 sentry ill save that.

Generally the level 3 sg, unless behind enemy lines. Once there, it can be hard to get more metal, so the dispenser is more valuable then. But if I'm really far forward and already have max metal, I might save the TP exit first so that more players can come support my position while I rebuild.
