Earlier today a friend and I were having a discussion about all the different armies in the world. He made this comment to summarize how to identify all the different armies.
"If you come across a unit you cannot identify on the battlefield, fire a single round over their heads. If their reaction is...
...a calm, precise, concentrated barrage of rifle fire, they're British
...a hail storm of machine gun fire, they're German
...to charge at you with no coherent plan, they're Russian
...to throw their weapons down and surrender, they're French
And if nothing happens for five minutes, then your position is obliterated by an airstrike and/or artillery fire, they're American"
