This is just an idea that a lot of people have also said.

- The RDM manager is good, dont get me wrong it works perfectly but i have some ideas.

- After the usual 3 RDM's someone gets kicked so that is good but the person justs joins back right away and then RDM's again. So my idea is that after so many times of being kicked they should get a cooldown by the manager. For Example:

(Change from 5 punishments per map to 10 all day)
First Offense= kick(after 3 RDM's)
Second= 15 minute cooldown (4 RDM)
Third= 30 minute (5 RDM)
Fourth= Day (7 RDM)
Fifth= Week (10 RDM)
Etc.....

-Feel free to give any suggestions, Thanks!

Here's a great suggestion: Post your suggestions in the Dropbox. This will ensure Leadership receives all your great ideas.

I don't think the first offense is very fair, suppose you accidentally RDM someone and they punish you or they accidentally punish you?

The first offense is the kick that is already embeded, which is 3 RDM's and you get kicked

feels kinda complicated, but just make a drop box to leadership if you think they should put this method in

The reason that the RDM manager lets someone get a warning after a kick is because the system acts in good faith. It can and will be abused, so safeguards are put in place. That's why the bans aren't long.

However, I have one question: What is a cooldown? I'm assuming a cooldown = a ban, but because punishes reset every map, the purpose of having longer bans is defeated. If someone RDMs five times in one map, they probably have no wish to play by the rules anyway, so they won't be back after the 24 hours. If that's the case, admins or leadership can intervene.

So the cooldown is like a ban just like comp but the problem most of us are aving is admins arent on all the time and having this idea would make it so we wouldnt need admins 24/7, Also there have been alot of people lately who join to just mess around by killing people. And i understand about the bans being long its just a idea but thx for the feedback.

It's tricky because most people do not use it with modesty. We get many people who punish even when they were breaking rules.

But for mass rdmers it's a good idea.

When it hits the point that someone continually comes back and keeps doing it, this is the time to record evidence (logs, screenshots, etc) and submit a ban request, or come to Teamspeak/Steam and contact an admin who can appropriately handle the player.

Not to push away your idea, just that in the meantime there are definitely options to keep players in line and stop them.

I like the direction this recommendation is going.

A very good case brought up though is that people rarely forgive. Even if they were in the wrong, they are upset they got killed and will punish.

I think the key to this is finding a balance and currently the system resets every map. The current system is good for mass RDM but for someone who is smart about RDM, they find mays around the system. Unfortunately there isn't a fool proof way of going about this. RDM manager is one piece to the puzzle and once it's tweaked, we need to ensure other processes follow suit.

Ya im all for follwing the Rules, its still just a thought but thx for the feedback.
