I've been in eGO for about 2 or 3 months i think, and i see all the great friends the regulars are with each other. i was reluctant at first to join, i thought that it might take the fun out of a game to join an organization, but now i only play on eGO servers plainly because of the organization. we keep punks and greifers out, and keep the game fun. but my main question is, how mad/upset would you be if eGO just quit? i for one know would be upset, just because of Mop's april fools day news post saying that eGO's council quit i just felt my heart sank at that (u really had me going mop).

Ah, eGO will never go. Some people may leave, but that's life. We'll last a while, and if eGO eventually dies, keep the most dearest and greatest moments with you.

/cheesy mushy post

If eGO dies , I would have to find a clan and it would be horrible. I would start cursing mroe often, No more sig shop, no more friendly scrims.

It would be horrible.

I would keep the mustoreo moments :)

I will say this, playing on these servers for the past month or so makes playing on other servers pretty much pointless... The servers for the most part pretty full, the people are full, it's a great environment, and all in all is probably one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.

I played in the e vs e scrim earlier today and it was was probably the most fun I've had playing TF2 to date. Looking forward to more clan events with you guys.

what EGO dyeing that will never happen EGO is invincible yer and mop had me going 2 my heart fell out of the bottom of my stomach when he said all the counsel quit!! *sniff sniff u guy are all great sniff sniff* life with out edge would be so boring it would be like life with out other ppl or FOOD lol

Why, I'd have to found my own clan. I do have an extra server lying around the house...

eGO is a volunteer community-supported business. Since it's not profit-driven, as long as there's interest and there are quality people willing to come in and be a part of this community, there will be eGO. It's true we'll see turnover as people's interest in gaming wanes, since the community is built on a shared love of escaping reality through gaming. Don't worry, though; it's happened before and will happen again. We'll miss some of our old pals and make friends with new ones, but we're not going anywhere as an organization.

What would I do if eGO disappeared? Miss it lots and try to find other punk free servers. And I'd change my in game name to Admiral Chegwidden, but that's just me.

I have to say, as a female in the gaming world, eGO clan members (and those who join eGO) are pretty much the only people who don't harass me and give me crap for being female.
That's why I kept coming back to the eGO servers to play before we joined up. It was the only place I felt I could make comments on mic and not have a bunch of idiots start making disgusting and demeaning comments. I'm sure I'm not the only girl who feels this way.
So, thanks eGO for creating an environment where EVERYONE can play, and I'll be doing my part to make sure it sticks around.

That is exactly why I have always supported a policy of permanently banning anyone who comments negatively on another player's voice, be it for being female or for sounding young. No warning, no remorse.

eGO are the only servers I play on, doubt I'd make the time for this game anymore if they weren't around.

I suppose that if eGO were to vanish, I'd change my in-game name to General Zod and run from server to server, demanding that everyone kneel to me. My avatar would become the following.

zod.head.jpg

I would try to recruit two friends, Ursa (who would have to be female and sadistic) and Non (who wouldn't talk), and we would search from server to server, trying to get revenge on Superman.

Seriously, though, eGO has become a refuge, for me, from the world. As such, I'm quite protective of it, and feel proud to be in a position where I can have some input in helping to keep it the exceptional community it is.

That having been said, though, this community would fall apart if not for those at every level. One thing that initially got my interest was the fact that everyone in this community is important, and has a voice. If you are a new member, and you have a good idea, we'll do it. Just because our clan name spells ego doesn't mean that we have big old swelled heads.

So, thanks to all of you, from the members who have yet to sign up, to JohnT, Kendle, and the gang for being the best group of gamers in the world.

Flippy, that was completely hilarious. While I won't bow to General Zod, I would join your merry band. Thank goodness there's eGO and that's all just a joke. This is the best gaming community I've ever seen, which is why it's the first I ever joined. It attracts the highest quality people from all over the world. I don't see how it could possibly be replaced, which is why I'm happy there's no likelihood that'll ever be necessary.

I never have really thought about what it would be like for me if there was no eGO. But after thinking a bit I dont know if I would even game online anymore, not only are our servers the cleanest and most professional but they are also the most fun. I really dont think anyone else could stack up when it comes to the awesome ppl that are members of this organization.

It makes me smile to see people appreciate what we have worked so hard build.

Thank you all!

You know what, IfeGO didn't existed, I would be a regular pub, then.
I can't find a clan, than eGO. I just can't leave eGO, it's the best clan in the world. I'm not even kidding.
Let me ask you guys a question.

Why would you guys quit eGO?

Flippy spunds liek u have a special, private TF2 gaming community. or u just think about that... lol :)

The only reason I would quit ego is if I died but before I am impaled(I have time 13 lawl) I would have put anyone in my family that games to play to join and to carry on my legacy!

wow i'm glad so many ppl have taken an intrest to a thread i posted while i was half asleep at 3 in the morning =D lol, i just wanted to agree with some of the others above me and say thanks to all the council and advisors that make my gaming experience "punk free" hopefully one day i can get good enough to be able to help keep our servers clean and fun.

From what I've learned about any kind of Internet forum, some of the best threads are the ones posted while half asleep at 3am or later...
